Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Geneva Township

This particular Popeye's location is owned by a bad franchisee. I go to many Popeye's locations in the area and the pricing is considerably higher here than the other locations around the area. Meals here at the Geneva, IL location are $2-$3 dollars more than the exact same meals at the surrounding locations I go to (Elgin and West Chicago, IL). This location also lacks a number of the combos/meals that the other locations around the are have. I've noticed either the franchisee/owner or the manager just sitting at a corner booth just staring at customers in the restaurant. I won't be returning to this location.

Update 6/11/24: I just tried giving this location another shot but they still aren't doing the "Tuesday Special" which EVERY OTHER POPEYE'S in the area does. They make all the dine-in customers wait for their food while serving drive-thru customers first even when the dine-in customers ordered first. The manager argued with a customer when he asked for fresh chicken. Very stingy about giving customers when they asked for extras. A customer dropped his spoon on the floor and asked for another one. The employee said "no" as she said it's still wrapped. I didn't bother with ordering. I just walked out. Just close this location. The owner and management of this location clearly has no idea how to run a fast...

When the building was still being built, I drove by with a friend from out of town and he asked if the building was an old Popeyes. I said I didn’t know what it was yet, it was still being built. He assured me it would be a Popeyes because he “recognizes those orange lamps anywhere”. I then proceeded to give him updates on the status of this Popeyes as I saw it happening because I was amazed he knew it would be a Popeyes by the lamps. He loves Popeyes. When I pulled up the location on Google, it being labeled Popeyes(Future) made us both laugh and now it’s a little joke we reference often! We only ever call this location “Popeyes(Future)” now even though it is now (Present). I updated him every time I saw cars in the parking lot while staff was training, when the menus went up, when signage went up, and finally today when I saw customers inside and it was open! I swung by on my lunch break for work and the workers who helped me were super friendly and I got my food within record speeds! I haven’t gone inside yet since I promised my friend I’d take him for the first time. But we’ll be back! Thanks for the smiles,...

Update. This team is working hard and getting their act together. Not a fan of their chicken fingers, don't get these here, but everything else is the best!!

Original post; Love Popeyes, and this is a new location. Let me tell you, you guys need to get it together. At 1:45 I ordered a classic chicken sandwich with a little extra mayo. Couldn't even pick up the sandwich, I didn't want the whole jar of mayo on it and I have no idea what the hell You guys did to the chicken, but it certainly wasn't anything edible. Threw the whole sandwich out.

Now let's talk about two apple pies I ordered. You guys forgot to put the cinnamon sugar on the outside.

The mac and cheese was amazing, but hardly any noodles, just a lot of cheese soup.

Mango lemonade really good.

I did call the store and ask if you weren't doing the cinnamon sugar anymore and she said yes they were and apologized and offered to give me two more pies. And she was very nice.

First impressions very important, otherwise you're going to lose a lot of customers fast.
