⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Outstanding Shawarma and Friendly Service!
I recently visited Pitazone in Geneva for the first time, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and the beef shawarma wrap, and both were absolutely fantastic! The flavors were fresh, authentic, and so well-seasoned, it was hard to pick a favorite between the two. The chicken shawarma was tender and juicy, with just the right amount of garlic and spice, while the beef shawarma had a rich, savory flavor that left me wanting more.
The portions were generous, and the wraps were perfectly assembled—not too messy, but packed full of deliciousness. I also appreciated the freshness of the ingredients; you can really taste the care that goes into their food preparation. The pita itself was soft and fluffy, adding the perfect balance to the wraps.
Beyond the amazing food, the staff at Pitazone were truly outstanding. They were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. It felt like they genuinely cared about their customers, and their enthusiasm for the food they serve shines through.
While I haven’t had the chance to try it yet, I’m already excited to go back and order the kabob plate, which I’ve heard great things about. If it’s anything like the shawarma, I know I’m in for a treat.
Overall, I can’t recommend Pitazone enough. Whether you’re looking for a quick lunch or a hearty meal, this place is a gem in Geneva. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, and I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreWe were looking forward to having a closer pita option as we usually go to Kabobs in St Charles. We were very disappointed with the service and never got the meals we ordered. I arrived and waited with another customer for 5 mins (place was empty) for someone to come out of the back and take our orders. Was told 10-15 mins for food to be ready as it’s prepared fresh. Fair enough. 30 mins later I went up to the counter to check on the progress. I was told it was almost ready. As the cashier turns around, he bumps into another employee and sends the last item of our order flying onto the floor. I wait for it to be remade. Finally get my order. My mistake for not checking all the food when getting to the car - it was all wrong. Not just 1 item, but all 3 entrees. I drive back and ask for the food to be remade. Four (!) new entrees are made and brought out to me as replacements for the wrong items, none of them were what we ordered! It was honestly astonishing and I felt like I was in the twilight zone. We ordered basic entrees off the menu, nothing complicated. I ended up asking for a refund and leaving after over an hour spent trying to get the meals we ordered. The customer service was not apologetic and were very rude. Highly recommend Kabobs in St Charles over this...
Read more2nd visit. Very similar to 1st. People and service great. Food is mixed bag but with a lot of potential.
Had a variety to try multiple dishes.
Chicken Tandoori Roast Entree: Chicken itself was marginally overcooked, saved by being dark meat. Under-seasoned chicken. Not sure what the sauce was with it, not bad but not much to it.
Meat Lover Zone Entree: Beef kefta overdone, but decent seasoning (an improvement over first time where it was very under-seasoned). Chicken kefta decent. Chicken and beef shawarma, and shish taouk, very overcooked and dry, though flavor decent.
Chicken Wings: Too salty to be edible. Ended up throwing out after we each tried a bite.
Falafel Entree: A little greasy and a touch undercooked. Very thin browning and lacked tender crunch while a bit tough. Maybe overworked and a little under-temp on the fry oil? Decent taste.
Gyro Entree: Gyro meat pretty good actually.
Rice: Nicely cooked, but not seasoned at all. Actually distracted from flavor.
Tzatziki sauce: Watery and under-seasoned. Bland.
Salad: Little to no flavor, the pickle was the flavor.
Pita Bread: Pretty standard if a little dry.
This place has real potential. Sincerely hope...
