Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Genoa Charter Township

Stopped in last night with the entire family and boy did we have the time of our lives. I didn’t catch the hosts name, but she was attentive, caring, and even cleaned off our booth table ahead of us all sitting down. When it came time to ordering our drinks, appetizers, and our main dishes, Nate (our server) took care of it all without delay. If you want phenomenal customer service, then he is the go to guy you want waiting on your table. He was hilarious, animated, quick on his feet, charismatic, kept you updated on your food, communicated very well, has the greatest sense of humor, and a real joy to be around. He is an exceptional employee and is willing to go the distance to give the best dine in experience anyone could ever dream of. The drinks were always refilled without needing to be asked, he always made sure to come check in and see everyone was doing, and gives great recommendations if you’re unsure about what to order. Our food came delivered to the table steaming hot and looked appetizing just as you see in their menu. The spinach artichoke dip with the fresh salsa was delicious. My kids both ordered bacon cheeseburgers with fries and scarfed them down. They raved about how much they loved them afterwards and both gave them an eight out of ten stars on a burger scale. My fiancé had the bourbon chicken and shrimp with the garlic mashed potatoes and ate every last bit of it. I had the Mac and cheese sprinkled with applewood bacon topped with chicken tenders marinated in this delectable sauce. My meal also came with a breadstick which was full of flavor and baked to perfection. If you’re interested in trying any of the dishes I mentioned up above, you can locate it under their two for $25 and the two for $34 section on the backside of the menu. Absolutely worth every penny and a great deal that cannot be beat. Before leaving, I had to give the manager a compliment for running such a wonderful restaurant with fantastic employees.

UPDATE - Came in for a lunch date with my fiancé to enjoy my birthday weekend. Nate was not working today, but we had the pleasure of being served by Nolan. He did a wonderful job and had a great personality. The restaurant was packed for a Saturday and he had a lot of tables to wait on in his section. Nolan was focused, quick on his feet, kept our lemonades full, courteous, and had a smile the entire time we were there. We absolutely enjoyed being waited on and served by a fantastic...

My wife and I had dinner there. What I ordered was very good but while eating it I discovered a problem with my food and when the waitress came by I told her about it. To my surprise she was very understanding and left. She came back and ask me if I would like a replacement or something else which was fair. I decided to get the same thing but got it to go. My wife and I then ordered desert. Awhile later, the manager came up and apologized for what had happened and told us the to go order would be out soon along with our desert. We ate our desert, which was very good and ask for our bill. The waitress came back and gave us our bill. Needless to say we were surprised and though it wasn't necessary, quite surprised. The waitress,( Ashley) and the manager, (Sarah) were very nice and understanding of the problem and through their efforts and kindness in remedying this situation both my wife and I left pleasantly surprised and honestly, blown away by it all. Can't say enough about those two other than we'll be back because we know they're striving to give the customer the best possible service and dining experience possible. Thank you...

I don't usually eat at Applebees. In the past they haven't been very vegan friendly. I was invited to a dinner here, so I got on the website to check out the menu beforehand. I found the allergy section, which also has the vegetarian and vegan items listed. It lists Impossible burger as vegan if you request it with no cheese. Well, I asked in person and the impossible patty is cooked on the grill that all the meats are cooked on. That is not vegan! What about the fries that come with the impossible burger? They are cooked in a fryer that also cooks meats in the same oil. Again, not vegan. I wouldn't eat those as a vegetarian either! I ended up with the chicken strawberry balsamic salad with no chicken. I requested double toppings to make up for the chicken and they ACTUALLY did it very nice! I'm giving 2 stars just for the salad. If I had ended up eating steamed broccoli with no butter as my only choice, it would be 1 star.

The other people in our group had no complaints about the food. They all enjoyed fancy desserts while I watched. No vegan...
