Georgio's Pizza & Subs - A Delightful Dining Experience
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Georgio's Pizza & Subs, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Located conveniently in the heart of town, this restaurant offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.
Ambiance: The moment you step into Georgio's, you're greeted by a warm and inviting setting. The decor is charming, with a mix of modern and classic elements that create a comfortable vibe. The seating is ample, and the layout is spacious enough to accommodate groups without feeling cramped.
Service: The staff at Georgio's is exceptional. From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive service throughout the meal, everyone is dedicated to making your dining experience enjoyable. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. The service was prompt, and we never felt rushed, which added to the overall pleasant experience.
Food: The highlight of Georgio's is undoubtedly the food. We started with the garlic knots, which were perfectly baked—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of garlic and butter. For the main course, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a meatball sub. The pizza was outstanding; the crust was thin and crispy, the sauce had a rich, tangy flavor, and the cheese was melted to perfection with generous pepperoni slices. The meatball sub was equally impressive, with tender, flavorful meatballs smothered in marinara sauce and topped with melted cheese, all served on a fresh, toasted roll.
Value: Georgio's offers great value for money. The portions are generous, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite. Considering the quality and quantity of the food, the prices are very reasonable.
Overall: Georgio's Pizza & Subs is a must-visit for anyone who loves great pizza and subs. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a top choice for both casual dining and special occasions. I highly recommend Georgio's and can't wait to return for another...
Read moreThe BEST thing about this place is the atmosphere! There are a couple of old quarter video games and the dining room is very open and spacious.
That being said, let's get to it.... Pizza - piping hot, I'll give them that, but it's SO SAUCY (NOT IN A GOOD WAY) that it's almost impossible to eat. I got a to-go order and put the boxes in front passenger seat of my F250. It has a slight incline for your butt. The toppings were on one side of the pie by the time I got home because it was so fluid. We were unable to save it, and because ordering pizza is what you do when you just don't wanna do anything else, we ate it.
Now let me touch on the toppings...this is so freaking ridiculous! My wife doesn't like onions, but likes olives. Their "supreme" Pizza comes with onions. When asked NOT to put onions, they are very accommodating. But when I asked for the olives instead, they said they had to charge $3.99 for an additional topping. What? You are literally going to put your hand in the olive bucket instead of the onion bucket to make the pizza!!! You're goi g to tell me that "change" costs you $4?
This brings me to service....when asked about this, the general reaction is a shrug and the comment, "we have to charge for it." I have spoken to the owner and she basically says the same thing with an attitude of "you don't have to eat here." (She's never said that to me, just the general attitude from her and the staff)
I absolutely HATE giving these people my money, but my family tolerates the place. I mean, they don't even like it that much, but it's the only pizza place in town. Every time we get food there, we all talk about all the things we don't like, and yet they keep asking me to go...
Read moreI came in for lunch after reading quite a few reviews. I was pretty excited. However, that soon turn to disappointment. I ordered a large calzone and 6 Mango Habanero wings with a fountain drink, almost $28 for lunch for one person... My wings come out and I ask the lady if it dressing was ranch or Blue Cheese. She says Ranch so I ask if I can have Blue Cheese instead. She says she will have to charge me extra. Now, I might understand that if I had asked for "extra" but I just wanted it substituted. Not only that but at $7 for 6 wings, I would think an extra of the tiny little container of dressing would not be a big deal.
The wings were well cooked. Crispy on the outside but moist inside. The flavor of the Habanero Mango was very light. It looked like they maybe brushed a little sauce on them and called it day. While sweet, it had almost no heat and just not enough of it on the wings at all.
When the "Steak" calzone came out the real disappointment started. First, the "large" is about the size of a 12" pizza folded in half. The "steak" is actually "steakum" and at $24 for basically a 12" pizza I was really expecting to have real sliced beef, not some cheap processed alternative. The amount of "steakum" was even lacking as well as was the cheese. The marinara sauce was actually very good even though I am not a huge fan of marinara.
Overall, if this place cost at least half as much as it did I would probably give it 4 out of 5. However, with the prices they are charging I am forced to only...
