Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Georgetown

Sunday August 20th my husband I attempted to dine in at the Georgetown, KY location. When we walked in the door it was about 1 pm and the restaurant had about 10 to 15 tables of people seated including the bar area (far from busy and several open tables). There was no one at the door greeting anyone. My husband and I stood there for about 5 to 7 minutes and another couple came in behind, waited briefly and wisely left. Finally a employee came up to us and gave a big sigh. She then proceeded to tell us "I need a nap" she grabbed two menus and walked away. We nervously laughed and proceeded to follow her. We just assumed we were supposed to, she never greeted us, asked us how many were in our party, etc. She put the two menus down and said our server would be with us shortly. There were at least 2 other waitresses on the floor in our area. The table she sat us at was also sticky. We waited at least another 7 to 10 minutes before the waitress finally came over and she said she would be back for our drink order. We waited another 12 to 15 minutes as she went to other tables and walked right past us at least twice. Our menus were closed in front of clearly indicating we were ready to make our selections. Ordered my food over an hour in advance and had to wait an additional 40 minutes just to receive the food that i paid for. Spent 20 min in the togo waiting line and nobody came to say a single word. i then park and walk through the main doors to face……nothing…. no host at the front nobody to come see me just an empty dining room save for a geriatric woman and some Nickelback on the speakers. after being left to dry for the second time now i return to my car and pull back into the togo waiting line, only to be faced with another 10 min of waiting, proceeding i return to the dining room for a second time to be greeted with a “it’ll be a minute” by the bartender across the restaurant and then somebody from the kitchen finally gets the gumption to talk with me and i tell them i’m here for a pick up and they tell me to return to the line outside. i was at my wits end. i return for a third time and after another 5 minutes of nothing i could no longer take this misery. i had to honk multiple times until an employee begrudgingly comes out and asks who i’m picking up for and hands me the food. 2 hours. Absolutely the worst curbside to go experience I've ever had. On a rainy Father's Day decided to order curbside which was supposed to be due at 6 21. After seeing several people walking in the side door to retrieve their orders after not seeing a server I to did the same. The rain had stopped 6 32 after waiting about 6 minutes I was finally acknowledged & signed my receipt. Never being told when order my order would be ready. I began chatting with another lady there who also had curbside she mentioned the delay may affect the tip. We were standing by register as there was no place else to stand. Server Destiny who was not part of the to go process said they were busy because of Father's day..which if that's busy to them, that's sad. Which the other lady said it's not that busy.
