DoubleDave's Pizzaworks — Restaurant in Georgetown

I have seen some crazy things in all my years, but I am truly shocked at the lack of professionalism in this place. I called to place an order, go with my 65 year old father to pick it up, and the kid at the counter says, "...um I remember you calling, but I guess I lost the order." He then tells my father he can place it again if we just wait for it. My dad sighed and said, "You know...just forget it." Then he proceeded to walk out. In front of all the customers - including women - the kid yells out, "YOU"RE A D!CK!"

Hmm... REALLY?

Because we chose not to wait another 30 minutes...AGAIN...so that we can have what has always been just sub par pizza? You call someone at least 40+ years your elder a "d!ck?" I'm disgusted...and this time it isn't just the aftertaste of your over-rated pizza that makes me want to vomit in my mouth.

I have been here many times now, and endured slow and pitiful service every time. And every time I have left telling myself I shouldn't come back. I have been a fool for too long now, but no more. Not only did this comment lose our business, but I hope you are able to see the reach of this review along with my word of mouth for years to come. I give this place another year at most and you will end up going the way of pretty much every other Double Dave's. Down the drain.

What a happy accident! We originally set out for Little Caesars, only to find it under construction, which led us to DoubleDave’s—and I couldn’t be happier. This was our first time here, and it felt like stepping into a nostalgic time warp in the best way possible.

The place has a couple of arcade games, a claw machine (which I actually won—talk about a blast from the past!), and fantastic music that set the vibe. The real standout, though, was the staff member working solo that day (black hair, super chill guy). He was not only friendly and fast but also incredible with my toddler and even cheered me on at the claw machine. His energy made the experience even better.

This was just a quick stop for a pizza picnic in the park, but it turned into something much more memorable. I only wish this location—and that awesome staff member—were further south because this would be an amazing regular hangout. If you're in the area, I highly recommend...

Well, just ordered from the Georgetown location and last 2 times has taken about 20 minutes longer to arrive then estimated. This time I waited 30 past the time they said it would leave for delivery to find out it had not left yet and it would be another 20 minutes. I had already paid and expected some kind of customer service to help make this right but they did nothing but refund my money and now I am left having to scramble to feed my 3 kids something. First world problem but figured I would share my experience for those wondering. Note I gave 2 stars now one because the first few times I ordered from this place had been good. Last few have not.

Update: Figured I would try again, but unfortunately 4 years later they still do not know how to accurately inform customers of wait time. Told 35-40m wait called after an hr told another 45 minutes. They folks...
