We came from out of state to visit family. After a 7 hour drive, we just wanted some good, hot, & fresh food. We have never eaten here before (& never will again). It was TWO hours before closing. We came inside & waited to be sat. After we were sat, an older lady (server) looked at us & motioned for a younger server to come to her. The older lady shook her head & walked off. We sat for a little over 5 mins before the younger server came to greet us finally. Im guessing the older lady didn't want to serve us for some reason because she served every single other table that came in after us. I wasn't familiar with how the hot bar worked so the server somewhat explained it to me. I got the hot bar & it was GOD AWFUL. There was no spaghetti noodles left & they said it was too close to closing to refill it....um ok? Two hours?! The salad that was left was brown & I ended up getting sick after we left. I spent the rest of the night throwing up at our hotel room. My daughter tried eating the grapes but spit them out because they were covered in slim from being old. I tried to eat the pastries & immediately spit them out. One of them seemed like it was still frozen?! The other one looked like dog food inside & was so dry it sounded like a rock when I sat it on the plate. Two of the desserts were empty & never refilled while we were there & I had to consistently ask for refills. I was so ready to leave at that point, I paid & tipped & left. I may as well have set $50 on fire. I paid full price for a hot bar that wasn't even stocked properly with fresh or hot food. I wish the employees were more concerned about keeping the bar stocked instead of eating their food up front & cutting up with each other. At least their food was hot I guess......What a...
Read moreI can only say I payed for my lesson: never, ever go back to Frisch's in Georgetown, KY. The service was surly, curt, and inefficient. The food was okay, however the kitchen served biscuits that had that "microwaved" bread look, feel, and taste. Needless to say, after a fair trial, I skipped the biscuits.
No one seemed to be in charge of the servers. One fellow diner plead with servers to help new customers who had been seated. Some servers seemed to be staring into space instead of being present in the dining area. It was plain to me customers were ignored.
The kitchen was not keeping up with customers and a drive-thru window. The back-room help kept coming to the breakfast bar and 'robbing' it of its contents whilst customers hovered around the warming pans waiting in vain for replenishment of trays. So they robber Jennifer and Bob to pay the drive-thru customers. Management was completely out of touch with the dining room.
Maybe someone thought it was good food--it was okay, fast food in Georgetown, KY is better and that is still not saying much; perhaps it was same old service just a different day--my server was not present most of the time. Other diners marched around trying to find someone to bring their drinks.
The management failed, the kitchen failed, and that left the servers pull up the slack. My server was poor. So the over all take-away for my experience is: do not go back until you see a sign "under new...
Read moreWe eat at this location a couple of times per month, sometimes more. This was one of the only places to eat during the pandemic and we were so thankful they stayed open. On our most recent visit, Doug (manager) was even more accommodating than usual. He acted as our server, and did a wonderful job. As we were eating, some friends I haven’t seen in a long while came in. After he heard us talking together, he sat them next to us so we could continue our visit. One of the people in their party has dietary restrictions. Doug was helpful in getting them the special foods they needed, making sure to alert the kitchen staff when he put the order in and when it was ready. He was able to assure the customer the order was correct and safe for them to consume. Doug is not the manager who only stands behind the counter. We have witnessed him filling the salad/hot bar, bussing tables, cleaning and any other job in the store. Sometimes the wait staff can be stressed out by a rush and/or difficult customers. He’s always encouraging while holding his employees to his high standards. He takes time to engage customers in genuine conversations at the register and we all feel like friends of his...
