There were bed bugs. We were in town for my friend's daughter's college graduation. There were also multiple sports (?) events going on all weekend as well so we were not able to change hotels. They moved us down a floor to a room that smelled like cat and dog pee and poop. They are pet-friendly. I asked for something to spray and the night clerk brought me 2 or 3 cans of something that didn't work. We spent the next day feeling like something was crawling on us and smelling like a dirty cat box. Our stay was taken care of by the manager or someone I spoke with, but that doesn't make it OK. I had to tell the car rental company about the bed bugs and the strong pet odors so they would be aware and could take their steps to prevent anything from spreading and so I wouldn't get an extra cleaning fee for that smell. All of our clothes were dropped at a laundromat that was equipped to deal with the bugs if they were there. We tossed all of our toiletries. Makeup, shampoos, all of it. Better safe than sorry. The aftermath of our trip cost almost as much as the initial trip. Also, the carpet in both rooms and hallways was damp. The whole place was humid. I will never stay at this Country Inn Radisson or any other again. I called the health department for all the issues we encountered. In my opinion, this building needs to be torn down and started again from scratch or gutted down to the concrete. I also included pictures of the coffee machine which was gross and a small roach who chose a plastic bagged Styrofoam cup as its final...
Read moreI, honestly, hate to be negative as your staff was so friendly and helpful and the facility was super clean, but I feel like I have to. The rooms were spacious and clean but the beds were super uncomfortable and both my husband and I were hurting the next morning when we got up. Comfort while sleeping is the number one priority for us, since when one is traveling it is important you get a good night's sleep. One thing I will mention as an FYI, and I am sure it was something easily overlooked, but very important nonetheless is when we arrived in our room I opened the blinds and was surprised to find windows that actually open! One of our windows was left unlocked. We were on the 4th floor, so no worries about intruders, but our small granddaughter was visiting with us and though it more than likely wouldn't have happened I shudder to think if she opened that window...there are no screens! We are vigilant in watching our kiddos but there are people who are not, so I would think it in your best interest to have your cleaning staff double check windows as a part of their cleaning process to make sure they are locked for everyone's protection. The windows could have used a little window cleaner, but that was the only thing we found lacking. For what appears to be an older hotel, it is...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel this weekend. To say it was “poor” is an understatement. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic we were weary of staying in a hotel, but given government mandates and a high rating for this hotel we decided to give it a try. We checked in and immediately were horrified. No one was wearing a mask, workers included. No safety protocols were in place, and nothing including government mandates were enforced. We watched in horror as workers both mask-less, and glove-less handled food after touching their face. We went to our room and cleaned it all ourself as the room was minimally clean at best. If the hotel cannot follow government guidelines, especially something as simple as wearing a mask, what else is happening that we didn’t see? Was our semi clean room actually clean at all? Were commonly touched areas clean? Probably not. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again and we come to the area quite often to visit family. We are probably never staying at a radisson hotel again in general. I do not recommend this hotel unless in the midst of a health pandemic you feel comfortable with NO safety or sanity protocols in place.
**For the record, the comment below from the hotel is false. I just checked out of this hotel, I am...
