I love the store because I love crafting. I can spend all day here. However, when I came in yesterday there were two rude employees being mean to the same lady. I was baffled bc the customer was very nice. She literally asked one employee if just one line was open or if she was opening her line. She didn't have an attitude when asking either. I would have walked to the woman's register if I did not hear the customer ask, bc she was walking to it as if she was going to help. (It was busy when we were checking out) and the woman that worked there responded loudly (by this time the women were 2 registers away from one another) in a condescending tone that she will call someone else. The customer then replied back " I was just asking." She then looked at me. I don't take kindly to stuff like that. I told the customer she did nothing wrong and had some words of my own that I said pretty loudly. Well after that the customer is finally up to ring her stuff up and I'm right behind her. This is another woman's register and she then got mad at the same customer because the customer works with the company and tried helping the person do her job. The employee would not listen and just kept making things hard. She also waited to ask for help. The woman (customer)in front of me was very patient and I applaud her bc the cashier was just ignoring everything the woman said. Finally the cashier asked for help to only find out THE CUSTOMER (EMPLOYEE) WAS CORRECT and the rude worker did not say sorry or act better. It got worse. The customer left and it was my turn to check out. The employee stared at me and rolled her eyes. She literally huffed and puffed and was clearly upset. In my opinion she had nothing to be upset about. She was the rude one. She clearly wanted to say something to me bc of how she was acting. I wasn't having it. I looked her dead in her eye and shook my head. I was very upset and if she would have said anything to me, I would have hurt her feelings. It's so crazy to me that the only 2 employees I had encountered at all... which were 2 older women... were both extremely rude and thry are both very lucky it was not me they were mean to. Read moreAs a first year teacher, I was very nervous about overspending when I walked into the Hobby Lobby in Georgetown. Although, my mother sent me a coupon for 40% off so I felt pretty confident I was going to get more for my money. The employees in the back were helpful and friendly in answering my questions as well as pointing me in the right direction. Unfortunately, the cashiers up front were unpleasantly unfriendly and lacked customer service skills. Desaree checked me out and she seemed very hurried and short with me. When comfirming certain prices on items she had a smart alec attitude. When I presented my coupon, I wasn't expecting it to be used on only one item (even though that was my fault for not reading the fine print) and Desaree continued to be very dry and prudent. Shocked at how much I was having to pay for my items, I completely forgot to use my tax exempt form. It was too late for Desaree to fix it. She proceeded to tell me very rudely I would have to go to the other register to fix the problem. When she mentioned it to the other cashier, she whispered to her and was smiling leading me to believe she was being scarcastic and annoyed with me.
