I am a employee at Steak ‘n Shake. I have tried to contact Robert fint by the store phone and as well as his personal cell phone. Neither will he answer. He had me on the schedule for atleast 15 hours a week due to us being shut down inside, then I was contacted not even by him but by another server that he took off the schedule as well that we no longer are on the schedule. He has yet to tell us when we will be and is allowing servers that’s only been there for not even two months work hours to have some money to live but is not allowing me that has worked there almost a year and the other server that has worked there a year maybe or more work either , I see that is unfair. Those that have worked there for way longer should be able to have hours before those that just started working there when this happened. He is being unfair to certain employees because he don’t like us and we as well need to work to survive. Robert has been a very unfair GM. He choose sides and talks about people behind there back. He has said things about another employee having a miscarriage and that it was “just loosing a baby” when he needed her to return to work. He has told me things that he shouldn’t have about other employees there and conversation that should have been left in private, even down to showing me the text or messages that was between them in messenger. He has made comments to me about things he shouldn’t as well. He does not care about his employees, he does not care about our well being nor does he care about who he hurts. He just cares about himself and only himself. It’s sick. Megan has worked her butt off at that store to get it to where it is now and rob takes all credit for her work, she even worked durning her pregnancy to make sure that store was top notch for him while he sat at home. She took on all the stress and responsibilities for him to take the credit when he has did nothing but hurt people, talk about people, make fun of people and been so unfair to many of us. He gives such a negative energy and makes everyone miserable. Tom the main guy is amazing and is always caring about us even when he is not there and when he is there he will take his time to sit and actually talk to you and work this out. Megan and Tom should get all the credit for everything. Rob has did nothing good for that store literally, but yet gets all the credit and it’s unfair. He sits in the office and has not helped do NOTHING but just hurt people. Now I am a single mother without any hours and don’t know what to do about my son and I but yet girls that haven’t work there a month are getting hours. Read moreThis experience was awful and I would leave less than 1 star if I could. I think the management, wait staff, and even cooks need to be reconsidered for their positions. I have worked in a restaurant and know how hard it can be but let me tell you about this experience. First of all, we waited 5 minutes to be seated. (There were 3 tables when we got there) Then it took 20 minutes for our waitress to come take our drink orders. (She only had 1 other table and they were ordering when we came in and she forgot to give them their drinks). When our drinks were brought to us, we had 2 waters with lemon, a Coke, and a milkshake. They were out of lemon and the waitress brought us some lemonade to mix in which was ok. But she didn't ask how our drinks were and when I tasted the milkshake, it was sour and upset my stomach almost immediately. We tried to get our waitresses attention but she wasn't paying attention. By this time our food had been sitting in the window for a few minutes. The cooks never told anyone that an order was up but they did keep looking at the plates. The manager and 4 other wait staff were huddled around the drink machine carrying on. By the time we got someone's attention, the manager, our food had been sitting in the window for 10 minutes. The manager said sorry for my milkshake that she would get me a new one, but the milk tasted sour and spoiled, she said she would get us our food which was cold by now. We told them they didn't want our business and we got up to leave and the manager asked us if we wanted coupons. We left and went to Applebee's 2 minutes up the road, got seated within a minute, got our drinks, orders and food in about the same time that we sat at Steak and Shake waiting. Will not...
Read moreWHOOPS!!! 😬 Traveling over 600 miles for our Fourth of July vacation, we stopped at Steak N Shake in Georgetown KY for a quick bite around 5 PM. In the delirium of traveling, I left my wallet with cards and cash, my AirPods, vehicle key and other tech accessories in the booth. I realized at 11:45 pm when we got home that my wallet and things were missing. I called the Steak N Shake, and they confirmed I had left my things 300 miles away. The owner would be at the restaurant in the morning, and I spoke with him the next day. The level of customer service and honesty and integrity that he and his team exhibited was beyond anything I have ever experienced. Long story short, my keys and items are back home, and I just want to shout from the rooftops how amazing the staff and leadership are.
