On 6/21/25 at approximately 6:40 pm, as I arrived, a man was walking away from the bar to join a woman at a table next to the bar. A female employee (long orange wig/weave, heavy set, fair skin) yells, "Sir, you have to pay your bill. We get too many people running off, so you have to pay if you're going to sit at a table." That was crazy; she could've just said, "Excuse me, sir, per policy, we have to close bar tabs at the bar." My friend and I sat down and said, "Hi" to a different lady. She was slender and around 5'7" in height with dark hair as she gave us menus. I asked if she knew where a big bar with views of the airplanes was. I told her it was in a corner near the escalator. I remember their onion soup. I told her I went once before but couldn't remember the exact concourse. She said she wasn't familiar. I asked the second lady, the one with orange hair. She said she's not familiar; I said, Bummer. She stated she just comes straight to work; she never leaves her concourse. Which I get; the airport is big; who really has time to be moving about on their work break? My friend and I looked over the menu for 10 minutes; the lady never returned. I said, "Excuse me." The bartender with the orange hair replied, "One second." She then started taking drink orders afterwards. I noticed 3 people sitting at the other end of the bar paid their bills and left. A lady walked up to the bar by the register, the bartender took her order, and began making drinks. When she was closer, I said, "Excuse me, we're ready to order too." She replied, One second. Afterwards a man walked up, and she took his order and served him. More people walked up and sat down. She gave them menus. I said, "Excuse me." She said, "One second." Long story short, you get the picture. As her back was turned, I got up and proceeded to the end of the bar. I figured that's the only way I'd get help. As I was walking up, I overheard her saying, "She can go to another bar; I don't have time for her." I said, Excuse me, and she turned in shock as I reached the end of the bar. She replied, "Yes." I said, "Oh, nothing. I figured I'd come down here since this is where you seem to be taking orders." She goes on to say, "No, I'm just busy; you can go to another bar." As she pointed, she said, "There's two down there and one over there." She continued to ask others if they needed anything else. She took their orders and started pouring beer from the tap. I then said, "I'd take an Adult Cherry Limeade." Eventually she made it 4 minutes later; however, when the slender lady she was training earlier returned to the bar from the dining and kitchen area she was helping pass food orders. The heavy-set, orange-haired lady made my drink particularly and handed it to the slender employee, told her to add the lime soda, and then said, "Give this to her because I want her to get away from my bar." I sipped the drink and then said I didn't like it and left. There was no reason to drink the beverage. I was treated rudely for no reason. I went to Braves restaurant and bar, and my friend and I swiped our Amex there. Not to mention several customers pointed out how I'd been there longer than them, but she didn't take our order. I've dined at this particular 40/40 location during my travel to and from ATL previously. Nothing like this has ever happened. Yesterday was horrible; we didn't deserve that kind of treatment. I will never spend another dollar at this establishment. I added a picture of her because I didn't...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I would give it a zero if I could!!! Danielle was my bartender. At first she made me get up from my table seat and made me sit at the bar to get served properly, which wasn't an issue, I moved after I got off the phone and when I came to sit with her she took a minute to get to me and when she finally did she just asked me what I wanted. (Mind you I had no menu, this was my first time at the place and she DIDNT introduce herself at ALL!) so after asking me what I wanted, I was a little frazzled so I asked for a menu and a water, she rolled her eyes and turned around to grab a random menu from another guest spot which she threw in from of me and before she could walk away I asked how much her long islands were and she said "17" very short and cold.. so then I said "okay how much are your margaritas" and she again was short and cold "17". So I just said okay and she walked away. I sat there for almost 10 minutes with my menu in front of me and STILL NO WATER. She ignored me and got new guest to the bar which she greeted kindly. I only found out her name when I asked for it to find a manager. Which the other stores told me I had to ask her to grab someone. But when I asked her to get me a manager she just looked at me and walked away and ignored me again!! This was such a terrible experience I genuinely started crying because all the staff were so rude on terminal D unless they were apart of delta!! and luckily my flight was moved to another terminal so I was able to get my drink from another bar with no issue from a super sweet bartender who redeemed my experience at the airport. But Danielle has forever ruined my experience at 40/40 and I hope she sees this and understands why it was wrong for how she treated me. She is pictured below. I'm sure she can be a nice person but she...
Read moreJust left the lounge in terminal D. Awful experience. I was expecting everything to be overpriced given the club, but the waiter Kongphet takes the cake as the worst part of my travels today. He left our table in the middle of ordering, taking the assumption that we were only ordering an appetizer without asking us if there was anything else. We had to shout to get his attention to get him to return for our drink and meal orders. His attitude was very poor for the entirety of our experience. We had to continue flagging him down for our liveries, during which he brought me the wrong brand of whiskey after my initial order. The second whiskey he brought me was a more expensive brand than the original I ordered and was charged for, so I imagine he cost his employer some money. To his credit he did apologize after missing my order for my third drink. Watching Kongphet interact with other customers, his demeanor appeared much more positive than he demonstrated with my party (he smiled with them, for example). The impression I'm left with based on my experience and observation is that we were given inferior treatment by this waiter without basis. The food was very tasty, although one of my empanadas had some fabric on it (maybe from packaging). Given the nature and reputation of the establishment I expected them to be exceptionally overpriced and they didn't disappoint. Final verdict: Go...
