**Umaizushi - Atlanta Airport Concourse C - 1/5 Stars** My experience at Umaizushi was disappointing from start to finish, primarily due to poor service and unprofessional staff behavior. **Service Issues:** Upon arrival, there was no clear indication of whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. After waiting and finally asking, we were directed to one of only two available tables. The table we were assigned was dirty, and when we inquired about cleaning, a staff member rudely informed us we couldn't sit until it was cleaned and that whoever cleaned it would take our order. After waiting several more minutes with no action, I cleaned the table myself. **Staff Professionalism:** The same employee who was initially unhelpful ended up serving us throughout our visit. Most concerning was her unprofessional conduct - she was openly discussing work grievances within earshot of customers and displayed inconsistent service standards. As an African American customer, it was particularly hurtful to experience dismissive treatment from a fellow African American staff member while observing more courteous service being provided to white customers who arrived after us. This kind of inconsistent treatment based on race is unacceptable in any establishment. **Food Quality:** The food did not meet expectations and was not worth the poor service experience. **Overall:** All customers deserve equal treatment regardless of race. Good service means treating every patron with the same level of respect and professionalism. Unfortunately, this establishment fell short of these basic standards. I will not be returning.

Menu is limited and sushi is inoffensive beyond the end of day dry rice. I got one of the last rolls of the day (and it was 4:30PM… they stay open till 10PM) which the waitresses attributed to the rice running out. It’s rice so why not make more ? There are 5 more working hours left. The menu is so limited and the only person who seemed to be working was the women with red hair. She was oh so sweet, calling everyone with that pet name kinda flair like “my dear, sweet heart.” But legitimately she was bar tending, getting orders, serving orders, getting bills, etc. There were three other people there and they just say there and talked. If you’re desperate for a simple sushi roll, swing by here and get your fix (but assume there no more food after 5PM) but I wouldn’t recommend it. You’re gonna need to go somewhere else anyways.

If you are at ATL airport and you MUST have sushi, this is an option. The prices are airport prices, expensive and while the food is not bad, the price doesn't always match the quality. For appetizers, I got the spring rolls. They were good, but way too small. I also got me a Philadelphia roll and this was a let down. Philadelphia roll is a very common sushi roll in many restaurants, nothing fancy and these looked like they came out of a gas station. The poke bowl was descent but the portion was again, too small. Overall, it's not a bad place to eat, it gets away with being pricey just because it is in the airport. It is definitely an option but I would look around before sitting down to have dinner at Umaizushi again.

Oh how I would like to give a good review to this place given the connivance in terminal C. The food is decent and I keep coming back given the location.. However, with my multiple visits here, I have to report and warn folks of the servers at this establishment.. INCREDIBLY RUDE every. single. time. I stop through Atlanta airport frequently. I asked a server walking by my table tonight (they work together it seems - though this was inaccurate I guess) if the spring rolls were coming after 15" of ordering them (yes, I am in an airport and was hoping to get my food quicklike). The server (Shay) rolled her eyes at me for 2nd eye roll of the eve (first one was to ask where I should sit and she gave me the "you're a moron" eye roll and informed me to sit where a table was clean - shocking, no clean tables, once a couple were cleaned I asked if it was better for them to have me sit at a 2 top or bar and Shay eye rolled, dismissed me and walked away without answering me and making me feel like a moron before I even sat down - and I wouldn't have sat down had there been another sit down option in this terminal. Crystal ended up as my server and was nice enough (they do not take orders so I hardly want to give them credit as a waitress), I let her know the service from her co-worker, Shay, was rude, unhelpful and not appreciated after a long day of travel.. Crystal it seems is a team player and was working in the cook in the back to get my spring rolls ready for me because they are down kitchen staff.. When I brought up her co-workers attitude, she apologized. Shay even went the length to tell another customer a table away that I called her a nasty name... Appalling to be honest.. I have given this place multiple chances and have a hard time understanding why this place is still operating the same year after year with 3.3 stars with 760 reviews.. Wow.. Disappointing to say the least.. Please, Umaizushi, get it together!! We travelers want good food and...

The service at this place was the worst I’ve ever experienced. One of the employees was extremely disrespectful — all I asked for was to have my order to go. She turned around, mumbled something under her breath, and then said they could make it to go. I said okay, and then another lady rudely told me that I “just need to leave.” I said, “Excuse me?” and was done at that point.

When I tried to get information about the business so I could write this report, Wesley refused to give me anyone’s name. When I asked for the manager, I was told they couldn’t provide the manager’s name either. Wesley appears to be only a shift leader, not the general manager.

To make matters worse, while I was calmly trying to look up information about the company, he announced to the entire establishment that he would not be able to help anyone until I left — even though I wasn’t in anyone’s way. That was completely uncalled for and unprofessional.

I will never visit this place again, and I strongly suggest management look into how their employees...
