I wish I had read the reviews before trying this place out - already less than 3 stars and it just opened. What a waste.
The customer service at this location is absolutely awful. I ordered something simple: mint ice cream, chocolate chips mixed in, and sprinkles on top. After spending $9.19 on a medium cup of ice cream (nothing fancy, no waffle cones, etc.) including tip, I took it to the car to eat it. Three bites, no chocolate chips. I took it back in, explained what the issue was, and was informed there were chocolate chips but I just didn't see them. Weird but okay. I asked for a remake and wanted the chocolate chips mixed in the ice cream - a little attitude that I was making her redo the ice cream, but the employee went to fix it. When she was done putting it on top of Apple Pie ala mode ice cream (why do they do this??? I don't want mint and apple mixed...) and mixing the now melty ice cream together with the topping, she shoved it back in the cup with significant drops and globs of ice cream dripping down the sides and tried to hand it off as fixed. You're kidding, right? So I asked for a refund. They told me they had to get a manager. The "manager," Abby, comes out and asks the situation... I explain what happened both times and that I now just want my money back. "We don't give refunds here." "We have specific recipes we follow." So... Is this a bait and switch or a straight up theft?
I didn't want the product that was offered as it wasn't what I originally ordered - now it tasted like apple pie in addition to mint and chocolate. Abby offered a remake (which was the only solution given and, at that point, not even what I wanted anymore - I just wanted to go to a good ice cream place that had decent customer service). She then proceeded to measure the ice cream's weight in front of me three separate times to make sure it wasn't too much for the medium size (for reference, I've never seen anyone measure ice cream in a Cold Stone in the many years I've gone to other locations). I don't care about that, really - but it was a deliberately rude gesture as well as a waste of my time (I've now wasted 20+ minutes waiting on this lackluster ice cream).
I was advised that Sunny is the owner of this franchise. Sunny, is this how you want people to see your business? Bait and switch (those pictures on the wall sure show a lot of toppings, not just one scoop) or outright theft? I didn't want the product and yet you still...

From the time I walked in the store I stood there looked at the menu to see what I wanted, no one said welcome or acknowledge that I was standing there . After about 3 to 4 minutes I noticed the camera up on the wall so hopefully they can go back and look at the poor service I received, After walking closer to the glass I was asked by the male had I been helped after he was done scrolling on his cell phone and noticed that I was standing there. I told him what I wanted and he proceeded to make the ice cream another young lady came over and asked if she could and I told her my second order. I stated I wanted a waffle bowl with the Oreo overload and another waffle bowl with the cookie dough ice cream. I noticed they were putting it in a cone so I stated I wanted it to go and that I wanted it in a bowl not a cone. They both looked at each other went to the back. I saw her making a smart remark as she walked off and then she came back with the bowl and slammed it on the counter, the gentleman (not so gentle) came from the back without the ice cream and proceeded to make a new bowl when I asked what happened to the first bowl he said he threw it out. I stated I just wanted a bowl. He couldāve dumped the ice cream in the bowl and instead of throwing it out he then stated I would have to waste it either way with an attitude.This is my second time here and the service is always poor. I enjoy a good bowl of ice cream and for the price that I pay I expect good services. The date of my visit was today Sunday March 3rd at about 5:15 in the afternoon. I live in the Harlem Grovetown area but I get better service at the cold Stone in Augusta. I hate to have to drive as far to get a good bowl of ice cream due to poor...

My 5y/o son had trouble picking a flavor, when he did finally choose a flavor we moved on and paid for it. We sat down and I noticed he didnāt like the flavor so I went up to the counter to ask if we could switch it out or if I had to just buy another one, the cashier said we had to get a new one which was fine so we got back in line. Then I overheard a few of the employees talking about what happened saying ā am I crazy why would they just give us another ice cream and that it wasnāt there fault that he didnāt like the flavor he picked and that he shouldāve tried it first.ā First off they never even said we could sample the flavor, they didnāt even try to offer a flavor. We werenāt trying to make a scene about free ice cream all we did was ask a question I had no issue buying another one. But I refuse to have my son disrespected because they feel like they can, like what makes it even okay to talk bad about a 5 y/o because heās indecisive please tell me one kid who isnāt.
