On July 10, 2025, at around 10 AM, I went through the car wash on Steiner Way in Grovetown, which I have been doing for years with my unlimited membership. When I put my SUV in drive, the left front bumper sensor started going off. I parked in one of the vacuum spots and noticed that the sensor had either disappeared or been pushed in.
I alerted one of the employees, who helped me fill out an incident report on a cell phone he brought from the office. After completing the report, he informed me that I would receive a call within 2 to 3 days after they reviewed the footage.
However, by Friday, July 11th, I had not heard anything, so I called Sparkle Express. They took my information (name, car make and model, date of the incident, incident location, and tag number) and assured me they would relay the message.
As the following week passed and I still hadn't heard back, I called again and provided my information again. I have now called five times, each time receiving the same response: they take my information and say they will relay the message.
I have yet to receive a call. Given that my SUV is a Cadillac Escalade, it features a series of sensors connected in the front, which cannot simply be fixed by replacing one sensor. I am disappointed by the lack of response and accountability from this company. My SUV was in perfect condition before going through their car wash. I plan to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and take them to Small Claims Court if they do not fix the problem their car wash caused. I would give them zero stars if it...
Read moreI pulled up and my membership tag was not scanning properly. What I came to find out was a new hire, grabbed my sticker and ran into the office and hustled back out to tell me it was their reader and not my issue… apologized and sent me into the wash. Afterwards, I thanked him for taking such ownership and a sense of urgency. I assured him that I was able to get clean rags and good service at this Grovetown location unlike the last few months at the Belair and Evans (which was always my favorite and the one I referred friends and family to) … I thanked him for his prompt service and desire to serve. While I was putting my own tire shine on my tires, a gentleman named Garrett came up to me and introduced himself. He thanked me for visiting there and for encouraging his “new hire”….. the Grovetown “ new hires” are leaps and bounds beyond the employees who seem to not care about anything or anyone other than their phones or whatever else they are doing at the other locations…. Thank you Garrett for running this place the way it should be. He explained he is a team lead and was only 16 years old….. hey guys at the other ones….. learn from him. Don’t be the reason all your customers leave and go to Ray Rays when they open in Evans. The Grovetown guys make me want to stay with a company that once was great all around. Thank you Garrett and to the new hire. Y’all are the example of what it...
Read moreI generally wash all of my vehicles at home.by hand as I do my best to avoid the swirl marks in the clearcoat that an automatic wash will typically expose your car to. However, i was in a rush one day and said screw it and went over to get my car washed. First of all they have two guys one at each payment station hovering over you as you make your wash selection. I personally cant stand that it is setup for self service so why is someone hovering over you trying to convince you to purchase a more expensive wash? I went ahead and purchased the $20 wash go through the wash and guess what bugs still on the front and dirt still in my license plate area. The main reason for that is they barely took any effort to scrub my car with a brush beforehand. They should incorporate one or two stations where you can prep your car before going through the wash since they won't do it for you. Asked about going through again and was told I would have to pay again. Hence, the main reason I wash my cars at home. I will say the vacuums and towel...
