I have been a loyal customer of Dunkinā Donuts in McDonald, Georgia, almost every day of the week, spending a minimum of $10 each visit, which amounts to nearly $2,000 annually. However, after todayās experience, I am completely over it and will not be returning.
The staff at this location are clearly young, immature, and exhibit a rude and nasty disposition. They make basic mistakes with orders that should be straightforward. These baristas are evidently untrained and unseasoned, which is unacceptable for a store as busy as this one. If you try to correct them or ask for clarification, they immediately become irritable.
Today, I visited at 11:07 AM with a very basic order. Excited to start my day with Dunkinā, I provided specific instructions for my coffee and ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The lady who took my order was pleasant and seemed new, as she mentioned that they usually put cream cheese on the bagel. I informed her that I didnāt want the cream cheese on the bagel.
However, the manager and other employees became disgruntled and upset. I specifically requested a toasted bagel, but the bagel was handed to me in under three seconds, clearly not toasted. Their malicious behavior was evident, and they were very nasty. The manager even condescendingly told me to have a nice day and mentioned that Starbucks had opened down the street, where I know I will receive better customer service.
Due to the nasty energy I felt, I did not eat the bagel, and my coffee tasted foul because they did not add the correct ingredients I requested. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I will not return until there is new leadership and structure in place. Today I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese bagel (which I have been ordering for years also). When I received the bagel, the cheese was cold and unmelted. I go back thru the drive thru and POLITELY say I came back because my cheese was not melted. MIRA āthe managerāunprofessionally goes well did you specify you wanted the cheese melted? I said I have never had to specify that I wanted hot, melted cheese on a hot sandwich. She proceeded to be unprofessional and nasty, and went back and forth with me, which resulted in me just asking for my money back. I donāt think anyone could or would eat a warm bagel with hot eggs, hot bacon and a cold slab of unmelted cheese. She was unprofessional, lacked empathy and was very disrespectful. At this point, the horrible customer service outshined the cold, unmelted cheese. For this person to be a so-called manager and act this way to a customer, in front of her high school employees is disgusting. As a paying customer, delivery and how you say things can make the world of difference. I am a supervisor as well and I donāt necessarily think the customer is always right, but I do think you can professionally get your point across in an attempt to resolve any issue. MIRA definitely needs more training on how to be professional and how to de-escalate situations, instead of becoming defensive and nasty.
