Where to begin? My expectations for authentic Mexican food are fairly low in a place like Augusta, GA but I mean seriously, I would have had a better meal had I just picked up an El Paso meal kit at the grocery store. We are talking stale hard taco shells, bland unseasoned ground beef and shredded chicken that tasted like it had been in the back of a freezer for months. The salsa was so watery I actually think they diluted it to stretch it. So tasteless. And for Augusta Mexican restaurants the place isn't all that cheap. To make matters worse they turn the place into a loud karaoke bar during prime dining hours. I had been driving for hours and just wanted to sit down to a decent inexpensive meal . This place was just off the interstate amd had 4.5 stars on google. The restaurant is very small and cramped with low ceilings. Its not a good place to have karaoke. The music was blaring loud. They let little kids scream into the microphone. That is not entertaining. Neither was many of the off-key singers who shouted their songs. It really seemed like this place catered more to the loud karaoke bar crowd then people like me who just wanted to have a decent...
Read moreI Have been to this place 3 times now hoping for a better experience because it happens to be close to home. The food is really not that great overall. If you decide to order any mixed drinks just know they will be the weakest drinks ever and is really a better idea to just take it to the house or go somewhere else for that. The salsa is more like tomato sauce with a little bit of garlic powder. I have a big family and none of us really finish our plates or bother to take it with us. This place in my opinion is good for one thing and that would be Karaoke. My family doesn't participate so we will not be...
Read moreWasn't bad but it wasn't great. I usually judge a place off its chips and salsa which I will say was pretty good here. The entrees however seemed to be on the smaller side in terms of portions but the flavors were good. I went with the Nachos and steak tacos on my visit. The cheese on the nachos was a white queso which for some reason was rather "watery" more than a melted cheese most places use. The tacos were pretty dang good however so I guess that kind of balances it out. Other than that this restaurant was nice, but I've definitely had better in the area....
