Freddy's burgers (across many locations) are among my favorite fast food period. For my tastes, they are excellent, and the fries are always hot and fresh as well. The custard, if it's your thing, is also absolutely terriffic.
I give one star to this location because of the service we received a few nights ago. We arrived at 7:50 pm on a Tuesday night, more than two hours before the restaurant's published closing time. We stood at the unmanned counter for at least 5 minutes while the manager held all staff in the kitchen apparently giving out instructions and assignments for closing that night. I had to walk around to the kitchen to get someone to come take our order, but once I had their attention, the young lady behind the counter was nice and apologized, and took our order.
Once our burgers were served (which were fine), it seemed the whole restaurant went into tear-down mode. Employees were running all around the store taking out trash, bringing out mop buckets, and generally creating the feeling that the place was about to close. I've worked in the food service industry, and I understand the desire to get a head start on teardown at the end of a shift, but 2 hours early is just unprofessional, and created the feeling that we needed to hurry up and leave.
Finally, for the sundae I was served. I've eaten at 4 different locations, and ordered brownie sundaes at all of them. They're quite good and I look forward to them when I go to Freddy's. At every other location, the brownies are served warm (the best part), with custard and toppings. Once I (again) waved someone down to actually make my sundae after finishing the burgers, the guy gave me a cold brownie with one scoop of custard and no toppings. It was obvious he wasn't trained to make the thing, and shouldn't have been allowed to by the manager. Where is the leadership and professionalism in this team? I had the distinct feeling that whoever was in charge was likely as much to blame as the untrained employee, so rather than asking for a replacement, I left the sundae on the counter and we left.
Very disappointing, and, unless a manager reaches out to explain this, we will certainly not be dining at or recommending this...
Read moreUsually, my experience at Freddy’s has been great. Been a patron for years. However, recently my experience with them was absolutely horrible, disappointing, and to the point where I will NEVER return to this establishment. First, I waited in line for over 20 minutes and the line was extremely backed up. Initially, I went with the notion which was confirmed by the sign stating short staffed and asking for patience. Understandable. But upon finally getting to the window there were SEVERAL employees standing around at the window doing absolutely nothing. Short staffed seemed to be code for really not working and not one of them were doing anything to assist with the ridiculous line waiting outside in the drive thru. So, I pay for my food and receive no receipt. Then I receive my concrete. Soupy, runny, and with nothing that I paid extra for. And the cup was not full. I paid almost $9 for a runny chocolate soup and waited 20 minutes for it with no receipt. I had a sleeping child in the car and the line was too long to go back and make things right so I had to leave and settle for the pathetic drink that was given because it definitely wasn’t frozen custard. I called customer service and was told someone would be returning my call in a few minutes and never received a call back. I feel used and disrespected because this place used to be high caliber but has go down tremendously and I will be spending my money at other frozen custard establishments with much better food and...
Read moreThis was the first time that I ever tried this restaurant. Not sure if I will want to go to another with the service I got here. First, the lobby was locked. Second, that made the drive thru around the building. But I was willing to give it a try since I'm new. Third, they didn't have any chocolate frozen custard. Lastly, I get to the window and I wasn't given the right side concrete custard. All burgers come with only mustard.
There was only one person doing everything here. I feel sorry for her, but I still won't be back here again. I told another customer that the lobby was closed and her remark was "Again? The lobby was closed last time too." Someone isn't managing this location very well at all. Oh and I mustn't forget that it was almost $30 for 2 burgers, onion rings and frozen custard. That is way more expensive than Culver's where I normally go.
Check out my burger. The onion in it is thicker than the "steak burger". I'm not usually this picky but I asked for my burger to not have pickle on it, which it didn't. But it also only had cheese and onion nothing else. I asked for lettuce and tomatoes. That...
