I left a review the other day, but can’t get into my account to respond to the owner. So I made a new account in order to be able to respond. First of all, how would you know my marquise is an “unusually long shape”, when your employee (Irene, who many other people have had an issue with), snapped at me when I pulled out the diamond’s certification to show her the measurements and the carat weight? She told me in her words “I don’t need that”. If she would have looked at the certification paper like a good jeweler would, she and YOU, the owner, would know the diamond is a 2.07 mm ratio, which is not unusually long. The owner of Spencer’s immediately asked to see my diamond’s certification paper when I brought to his attention that I had a loose diamond I wanted set. THAT is a good and knowledgeable jeweler. Also, if my lab diamond is an imitation diamond, I suggest you stop selling lab diamonds in that case. I’ve personally held and examined plenty of lab grown diamonds in your establishment. Very odd outlook you have as a self proclaimed “master jeweler”. You must not be certified and/or educated, otherwise you would know that mined diamonds and lab diamonds have the exact same chemical composition (lab diamonds are formed from the seed, aka very small piece, of a mined diamond). Second of all, Irene NEVER told us about any lifetime warranty, and said specifically the cost of the very simple setting I wanted (mentioned below) would be $2,000 because of the price of gold ONLY. She said the price of gold has been extremely high for a YEAR, which is ironic because the time before this, which was around February or March of THIS year (2025), I got quoted $1,800 by a different employee of yours, and that was for a completely custom, made from scratch setting with a 3.5 carat marquise set in a tulip prong head, a hidden halo (extra diamonds) and a pave bridge (even more diamonds). So how is a ring with the 1 carat marquise diamond I personally would provide, and no diamonds added by you, to the setting, MORE (roughly 4.5/5 months later)? I told Irene I wanted a 14k yellow gold setting with no fancy additions, and 6 point prongs to protect the tips of my diamond. Simple as it gets for a marquise diamond pinky ring. Lastly, I’ve been quoted by multiple other jewelers for the exact simple pinky ring I wanted, with the same 1 carat marquise diamond I have, and those quotes were all in the $600-$900 range. So it seems that you are overcharging people, and not that other jewelers are using less gold like you claim. Some of these jewelers I got quotes from were out of state, some local. Since Spencer’s is 2 minutes away from where we live, we chose them, and our decision was especially easy due to their customer service and kindness being top tier. I’m shocked your business is still operating, because you have a very childish and immature response in most of your 1 star reviews, which directly reflects the type of person you are. A good business owner would fix the problem, not create more. Get off of your high horse, fix whatever issues you have going on that make you so conceded, and correct Irene unless you want to keep losing monetary...
Read moreMy husband purchased my engagement ring here 9 years ago and almost everyone who I have come into contact with in the years since been pleasant and fine. HOWEVER, there is one single employee, Irene who is the definition of unpleasant and always has been for as long as I have come here. Today I brought in some jewelry from my deceased grandmothers estate just trying to get an idea of if it was even real or not so I could have a next step and she immediately launched into a speech about "that takes an appraisal and those things are not free" mind you, I didn't ask for anything free, I just wanted to know if those items were real and worth getting an appraisal for.. I said that she was being unpleasant and that I was just looking for some preliminary information (that they have provided me with before and that most jewelers will). From there she put my items back down, looked at me and said "Do me a favor and take it elsewhere. Not even our owner likes you and they don't even want you to come back" Wow, right... Keep in mind there are multiple other people in the store and she was that rude, I never once raised my voice or said anything mean/nasty simply was taking jewelry to a jeweler trying to get an expert opinion. There was an older lady next to me who when the employee walked away looked at me and said "well, that was very eye opening." I am honestly glad that someone else witnessed how incredibly nasty this woman was to me for really no reason. But separate from me, my little sister also has her engagement ring from here and brought it in last year to have it sized (I came in with her) and this same employee was trying to tell her that it fit and she didn't need it sized. It was uncalled for. She wasn't asking her opinion, she was asking for a service to be provided for a ring that was SO loose on her finger and this woman was trying to gaslight her into not getting it sized when it was desperately needed. The only above and beyond that goes on here is the rudeness of that one woman. I will not even bring MY ring or band that was purchased here back for service due to her complete lack of customer service/bad attitude. Which according to her wont even matter because their owner "doesn't want me to come back either" Very strong words from a small business. All of this to say I do not recommend Chandlee Jewelers, I so wish that my husband had purchased my ring from a more friendly place with better employees representing their business. Just overall so very disappointing.
Also please read all of their negative reviews, they are for the most part about this SAME WOMAN. Speaks for itself. Moreover, their responses to anyone who has had a bad experience, woof. Just take all of that as a...
Read moreAs many men can attest, purchasing an engagement ring can be a high-stress ordeal. Even when my now fiancé gave me specifics regarding her ideal ring, I was still a bit overwhelmed. The two of us visited a jeweler together and we both left unsatisfied with the experience. We felt as though the sales consultant was continuously attempting to convince us to buy an inferior product. Even a subsequent visit by myself did little to assuage my concerns.
I decided to visit Chandlee Jewelers after reading the numerous excellent reviews. Needless to say, I was immediately blown away by the business' superior service. Irene assisted me in my pursuit of the perfect ring. Fortunately, I already knew the exact size, cut, color, clarity, and carat that I was after. In less than 30 minutes, Irene and I selected a stone and band that fit all of my needs and, most importantly, my price range. I am normally not fond of sales associates in any industry. However, the excellent staff at Chandlee Jewelers completely exceeded my expectations. The quality and value of the ring I purchased is unparalleled, and, obviously, it was the right choice.
To make things even better, Irene informed me that if my fiancé and I purchased our wedding bands at Chandlee then we would be entitled to a discount. Well, where do you think we eventually purchased those rings? And to top it all off, Chandlee offers free cleanings for any of their purchased products.
I am thankful for the incredible shopping experience I had with Chandlee. I am likely to make a return visit when the time comes for...
