The place looked nice and clean and although it was packed the line moved pretty quickly. That's the only reason why I am giving 2 stars. I first asked the cashier for festival , she made me repeat myself about 5 times because she didn't know what festival was. Anyhow , she asked someone about the festival and they only had one left. But it wasn't a festival , it was a fried dumpling. I then asked for stewed peas soup , once again she didn't know and had to ask someone else , the stew peas soup was low so I asked if there was anymore being made , she said no. As I waited for my cousins to order their food about 10 minutes later more stewed peas soup was put up and if I didn't see it come out no one would've called me over to get some. I am waiting around to get the soup and no one came to me to take my order. Eventually someone asked me if I need to order I said, "yes I was told there was no stew peas soup and now here it is so I would like to order " She said , "this is vegetable soup" As a jamaican and a golden just frequent customer I know that was a lie. As I was checking out the cashier was confirming my stew peas soup and that same lady wanted her lie to continue so she told the cashier its vegetable soup . They hired people who did not know that they were serving and it made the experience very tedious and frustrating. My cousins order stewed chicken and vegetarian dish. Stewed chicken tasted like barbeque chicken. The chicken and veggies patty was very dry. My stewed peas soup was overly salty. That place is a massive disrespect to...
Read moreAfter my experience with some issues I had with the customer service here, I was ready to come on here and give this store a lower rating. But the DELICIOUS food gave me time to think about it.lol.
I was unable to access the full menu on the Golden Krust website, so I called to place an order over the phone. The person who answered told me they don't take orders over the phone, but he directed me to the website that I could order from. I discovered that the website they gave me was the one not working. I called back. The same person answered & I told him there were only 5 menu items available on their online order page. He took my order and told me it would be ready in 10 minutes, Great.
Another associate called me 20 minutes later to ask was I still coming to pick up my food. I told her yes. My husband is on his way there. She asked me was I sure twice. Her reasoning with asking me was because somebody else wanted my food?? I told her my husband is on his way to pick it up but if they want to give it to the customer there and make me a fresh batch, that was fine. She then told me that the close at 8p (It was about 7:40p). The Google info says they close at 9p. I do my best to give others grace because they're human, like me...that was just bizzare because of miscommunication , I guess. But better communication would be helpful.
The food was DELICIOUS and the...
Read moreOn our way to the airport looking for something tasty, quick, but not fast food. Glad we stopped here, the food was good. I asked about the coupon that popped up when I checked in on yelp, but the manager said they no longer honor that coupon. They have their own website and they use Clover. Never heard of clover before, but maybe thatâs a GA thing? We ordered the oxtails and Caribbean fried chicken. The oxtails are pricey at $27 after tax for a large plate. But it was enough food for two days of leftovers and they were very tender and tasted great. The fried chicken was good, but wasnât as spicy as I was hoping for. I liked that you can ask for gravy on your rice from a dish thatâs different from the one you ordered. The plantains were great. My husband liked the cabbage, but I thought they left it a bit too crunchy.
They have an âAâ health code rating at 95. The establishment is clean and seems to be a popular spot for locals. The bathroom was out of order when we came, but the Pita restaurant next door was nice enough to let us use theirs.
Hopefully they get that fixed soon.
I would come again if I was...
