Golden Wok Express and Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

After reading all the positive reviews I really hate my experience was such a disappointment.

I ordered what said “shrimp fried rice” & two veggie egg rolls. The egg rolls were tasteless & to my surprise... the shrimp fried rice (as posted), is really shrimp and chicken fried rice... they make only shrimp fried rice to order. I made it very clear to the lady I don’t eat chicken and only wanted shrimp fried rice but she failed to provide those details.

I called to express my concern and spoke with a very nice gentleman that apologized and said that he’d remake ASAP & It would be ready when I came in. I didn’t leave right away to give them additional time and so that my food would be ready (noting I was on lunch & had already wasted half of my lunch unnecessarily). When I got there everybody was acting confused & didn’t seem to know who I had spoken w/ & after about 5 mins they stated they were about to remake it 😫 I just requested a refund instead because it became too much for some dry looking rice. Came in here by accident, but definitely didn’t regret it! Lol. I was waiting on someone in the parking lot and started seeing a lot of people entering into the establishment, well let’s just say I got curious. From the time I stepped in the door the welcome, the atmosphere, the vibe, and everything else about this place was nothing short of phenomenal!! The owner was extremely friendly, polite, and kind to everyone who entered in. He let me sample different things. They have Chinese, soul food, burgers, wings, and fish. I see why all the people who works around there is running in there!! I had the three meats combo. I ordered the pepper steak over shrimp fried rice, spicy chicken and a piece of tilapia fish. I asked if he would drop me a fresh piece of fish and he did. I loved the customer service! The sweet tea and lemonade was the bomb. I’m definitely going to be going here often. This place literally deserves 20 ⭐️s for the service. Not to mention the food. And the latter is what we came for. But we checked the reviews before going, and they were on point. The young man that runs the place has an amazing spirit and a knack for customer service. Very respectful and friendly. Kudos to his parents and grandparents. We spoke about them in length. Now the food was absolutely fresh. Rice was amazing with the Mongolian chicken. I will definitely be coming back and to anyone in the area or traveling thru the area and looking thru reviews like me and my girlfriend, and you run across this one. This is a definite go. "J" informed us they have three different locations. This one is the only one with a southern menu. Burgers, Philly cheesesteaks, and such. Even turkey burgers 🍔. I plan on trying food at everyone of their spots. But I'll make sure I hit Golden Wok back up...
