I was on TikTok and saw a video of a guy eating ‘authentic Indian food’ here🙄. As a former NY Native(all my life) who constantly traveled to little Guyana and ate at a different restaurant at least 2x a week — I had to try this! I sent the TikTok to my Husband who felt the same as me😂. We rounded up the kids that same evening and did the drive to this gem hidden in plain sight. The dining room was clean as a whistle. I wasn’t worried about my kids sitting in black smudges or spots anywhere or worried about chairs falling apart. The room had long home-y curtains hung on the windows to dull some of that intense sunlight from outside. When we opened the door the windchime hung on the door was immediately followed by a warm welcoming voice and face! We were greeted and immediately knew what staple dishes we wanted to try. To play it safe we ordered the Chicken Makhni (Butter Chicken) and the Chicken Biryani. The cashier was attentive to all of the wants we had and recommended the Chicken 65(Deep Fried Chicken) to us. We sat down and everything came to us within 10minutes of sitting down with the kids. Just before they grew impatient- we were called to retrieve our food. We ordered extra garlic naan, extra sauce(Cucumber Raita), their signature creamy mango drink(Mango Lassi) and bottles of water. 100/10 — definitely recommend. We ate, were given plastic bags to wrap up our leftovers and were thanked for our business. When we got home - no one was rushing to the bathroom. No one had an upset stomach. And most importantly, no one complained about still being hungry😂 We’ve tried mannny other traditional Indian restaurants around Atlanta that don’t even come close to here! Try it out. I know WE will definitely be coming back! Thank you guys for feeding our...
Read moreThis was my first time eating Indian food so eating it with my very best friend made it extra special. The fact that she treated me--a renown foodie--made this visit even more special. This place was amazing. I have always said that it is the company that makes the meal, but this meal was so spectacular, it caused us to linger at the table well past closing time. The company and the meal blended as one symphonic medley on this occasion. The buttery naan bread was so warm and delicate. The colorful chips were a nice change from the requisite pita, nachos, and bread. The accompanying sauce was a hit too. Me and my guest just loved everything that came to the table. She had the Chicken Makhani, the world famous butter chicken and I ordered the Chicken Sagwala, which was chicken cooked in fresh spinach and spices. The basmati rice was a huge hit. I could not have made a more perfect rice if I was given an ultimatum. She also ordered the spinach which was the spiciest dish on our table. Our server was super professional and explained everything to us with patience. There is nothing finer in life than a wonderful and memorable meal. But enjoying this meal in the company of a dear friend? Well that is the good life personified. I will definitely make this a regular stop on my visits to Atlanta. Kudos to my FFIT (Foodie Friend In Training). A...

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was just that bad. We went to Masala House expecting authentic Indian flavors and decent service — instead, we got undercooked food, bland dishes, and a complete lack of quality control.
We ordered the Gobi Manchurian, which was supposed to be crispy and flavorful. What we actually got was raw cauliflower tossed in sauce. It was hard, completely uncooked inside, and tasted like it had just come out of the fridge. Totally inedible.
The vegetable rice was just as disappointing — flavorless, greasy, and felt like it had been sitting out for hours. It lacked any real spice, seasoning, or even freshness. Honestly, I’ve had better from a frozen microwave box.
We also tried a few other items, which were barely passable at best. The only thing that was “okay” was the naan, but that’s really not saying much.
What made it worse? No one seemed to care. No apology, no attempt to make things right. Just bad food and even worse service.
Please save your money and time — there are far better Indian restaurants out there that actually care about what they serve. Masala House was a total letdown, and I won’t...
