My family has been going here often for years. This location is probably still good on the weekends, who knows. The weekday evening service has never been that great.
The last time that my family and I went on a random weekday evening the food took a really long time to arrive, and was already cold.
My order was completely wrong, the server was hanging out at another table talking to her friends, when she eventually came back around I told this is not what I ordered and she decided to argue with me about it. "Ok fine whatever, may I please have this instead". She did not like that, the new order also took forever and was cold.
We got the check and it had incorrect amounts for kids' meals. My wife flagged down the server, showed her the amounts and asked about it, the server decided to argue again. The assistant manager came over and verified it and we then got a corrected check. We paid at the table with the app and left.
I was putting my baby in the car seat and the assistant manager ran out waving a check saying that we didn't pay at all. Their payment app or something was down but she acted like we were trying to skip out.
I followed her back in and the new check was completely different than the other two. I asked why were all three different and she gave me some nonanswer. I paid that and said that this wasn't a great experience and she replied that we should stop going there.
Alright, that's fine I'll...
Read moreI ordered the Classic Burger with All You Can Eat fries. Burger was hot, tasty and served how I ordered it-- without lettuce. As for the fries, they were good too but apparently all you can eat are the ones on the platter with the burger when it is served. Never saw the waiter again until he brought the bill at the end of the meal-- too late to order more fries...nor did he even ask if I wanted any!
My companion ordered the Short Stack of pancakes. When they arrived, not only were they not hot--or even warm-- but they were actually cold. The dab of butter served with the pancakes wouldn't melt on them. This problem went unresolved too as we never saw the waiter after he brought our food.
When we mentioned both problems when I paid the bill, they were appropriately apologetic-- saying they were very busy. I smilingly commented that if that level of service continued, being busy would definitely cease to be a problem ;-)
Oh, and one more thing. We could have done without the ear-splitting happy birthday rant seven loud-clapping wait-staffers foisted on the embarrassed pre-teen birthday boy sitting with his family at the...
Read moreOur family has a history with IHOP. IHOP had been a favorite date with my late husband and myself. Now my son's and their families meet at IHOP to enjoy breakfast for dinner. This IHOP on Johnson Ferry doesn't disappoint. We arrive around 5 ish when they are not too busy and parking is easy but by the time we leave- 6 or so- the place is HOPping!
The menu allows everyone to explore breakfast - where IHOP shines- or more traditional dinner options. But IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes, right? So, I never stray into dinner entrees although family members have and delighted in their choices.
This IHOP is clean head to toe. The restrooms take you past the kitchen - IHopping and orchestrated chaos. Personally I enjoy peeking into this world as an ex-food service indentured.
Brian and staff are personable and treat the grandbabies so well that they can't wait to go back. Staff are attentive and somehow manage to balance tables and food with efficiency and care.
I don't know where the INTERNATIONAL in IHOP comes from but Johnson Ferry will see our...
