Been meaning to try this spot for a while as I’m a big fan of greasy spoon mom and pop type places. Well, this joint has the charm and service you might associate with that kind of establishment, but the food my friend and I ate for breakfast was pretty bad. Granted, I can be pretty critical of restaurants that rub me the wrong way, but the food here definitely deserves it. The biscuits were not great. The biscuit gravy I am willing to bet is from a can; it was that bad. Super salty and hardly any sausage in it. Hardee’s does better biscuits and gravy and that’s not saying much. I also ordered cheese grits with jalapeños and that was even mediocre. Pickled jalapeños are not my favorite, certainly prefer fresh on my grits. And to add insult to injury this cost me over $16. So not only was the food subpar, but it was way overpriced. The food reminded me of continental breakfast at a low quality hotel. Sorry to be so hard on these folks, but y’all really need to do better. I wouldn’t bother...
Read moreI first started going to Biskets and More when I was about 6 years old. At that time, it was just a small little breakfast place that shared a building with a gas station. Chuck, the owner, was one of my dads best friends so we went there every weekend. We enjoyed yummy biskets, hot chocolate for me and coffee for my dad, and the occasional scratch off lottery ticket. Before I knew it, the gas stationed closed and Chuck had opened his very own little breakfast place down the street, which was then officially titled “Biskets and More.” We continued to visit every weekend as I somehow survived middle and high school. We even went there the morning I took the SAT. Years and years later, which is now 2019, I still visit with my close friends, husband, and son; and to this day I will always have the best memories of amazing food,...
Read moreOne of a kind local joint that feels local. They really do have the best biscuits I've ever had. The photos online might make it look sub-par but it's great priced food (hard to find these days) that is incredibly delicious. Their menu is pretty robust too for a local place. If you go in on a week day (closed Sunday and Monday) you will find a variety of younger and older folks enjoying their food with friends or a newspaper. Plenty of seating inside and some outside. We walk here (~1mile) and our biscuits are still hot by the time we get home. Try the chicken biscuits or even just butter biscuit. We were told by someone in line behind us that the burgers are really good. They have crinkle fries! You get 2 hashbrown patties for an order and they have sauces and jelly too. They also sell decent sized jars of...
