Lack of service, lack of communication, no refund on products being left with them to be fixed- no sense of urgency here. Left products (2 chain saws) here in good faith that they would get them working. Again, No refund of $199.00 given on a diagnostic check on 2 power tools left here for 2 months. Parts are on order but Never produced order on parts and never produced working chain saw. Find another local to do business with.
10/1/23 in response to your follow up remark- with all due respect I was charged $199-under the impression from you that it would be put towards having the dinosaur chainsaws fixed. You canât fix them so I am out $199. As far as followup calls, store visits etc with you several phone calls were made, one I spoke with the technician himself-thatâs how I know the parts for one had to be ordered-I made many phones calls after that - either, I never received a phone call back or got word from him again that the parts were on order but no proof to me that they were. If you couldnât fix a dinosaur chainsaw to begin with- be up front. On 9/28/23, I Waited around your store for 20+ mins, (had been told technician was putting it back together)-after waiting to take them with me I gave up, I ask you to call when they were ready- I made a call TO YOU at 4:00 and was told theyâre not ready bc your technician got busy helping other customers and theyâre not together yet-so here we are again- lack of communication on YOUR part and no chain saws for me to pick up. Have yet to receive a call from you saying theyâve been out back together for me to pick up- itâs been 3 days - so again where does ânon communicationâ land- the balls in your...
Read moreI am always one to support the small business owner. If I have a choice between a family owned Ace Hardware and a Home Depot I would choose the Ace each time even though, due to being a small business, they inflate pricing. For example a two pack of GE Crystal Clear Ceiling Fan Bulbs is 4.49 at this Ace vs. 2.49 at a Target. Again, not the issue. On October 29th I bought 20 dollars worth of goods from this Ace which I typically support - I bought 2 packs of these bulbs for a ceiling fan, opened one, and realized the ceiling fan sockets did not fit the bulb. The bulbs are clearly intact, no sign of any wear or damage. I bring back the bulbs on 11.3.17 and I am informed by WB at the counter that even thought the receipt says Refund W/ Receipt Within 30 Days - this does not include an open light-bulb package. WB must be blind as half of the packages on his light-bulb wall had openings and tears in the back. I informed him that I would need to stop supporting the store based on this policy not being stated on the receipt. He said no problem. The smart business owner or employee, especially smart "small" business owner or employee does what is necessary to keep business in the store but WB is either a poor owner or poor employee because he has lost our families business and I will make sure to let other families in our neighborhood know of the stores business practices. I will happily travel a bit farther to grab my items from Home Depot or Target - at least they honor the return policy stated on...
Read moreTypical Ace Hardware, small mom and pop store with over priced items. You can go to Home Depot and find the same products for cheaper.
My issue is their are a couple of old timers that are always too slow to help and when you ask a question they give you that "that's what you ask for and there it is, and walk away" Bad customer service. This wasn't the only time.
One day noticed all of the Craftsman tools, I knew Craftsman sold thier tool division to Stanley Black and Decker. One of the old guys that was following me LOL finally asks if I had a question. I asked if this is Sears Craftsman or Stanley Black and Decker Craftsman tools this store is selling. The old man looked at me strange and said These are Craftsman. I said yes I know but which one? You know Sears sold thier tool division to SB&D. He just looked at me with that dazed and confused look. He said it's Craftsman, they're all the same and started to walked away LMAO.
No they're NOT all the same. Trust me, I build hot rods and classic cars for living. I know the difference. The old man just walks away. Terrible knowledge of a simple question of a product that is a BIG seller that takes up two aisles in your store and you don't know ANYTHING about those tools? And you just turn around with a wave of your hand. Man go back home and retire!! Don't waste the customers time if you can't remember about the products your store is selling!!!
Piss poor customer service!!! No wonder this place will go out of business soon to Home Depot!!...
