Best chimichangas.
Google prompted me to update my review. Years later I stand by my first impression.... Best chimichangas. But I'll elaborate.
At Mexican restaurants I always get the chimichanga on my first visit. It's my Rosetta stone for Mexican restaurants (black and blue burgers for hamburger joints, lasagna for Italian, etc) Where possible I get shredded beef. Failing that I'll go for shredded chicken. But no need to go to an alternate at Cazadores. They have beef, and it ain't ground. And while there are a lot of thing you can put inside a chimichanga, they're mostly just filler (rice is the worst, it belongs on the outside next to the refried beans). This bad boy is all meat. But what is it that separates chimichangas from burritos or enchiladas or enchiritos (bring it back taco bell!), it's that the whole thing is fried. And not barely so you can check a box. I want a crispy, not remotely burned tortilla, that has been fully drained of any extra grease. Check, check, check! Finally they they coat it with enough white cheese sauce that you have enough to dip your chips in too. Perfection. Or as I said before...

The rice and beans were not fresh. The rice was overcooked and mushy in the middle, and at the same time the top of the rice was crusty / hard. The beans smelled and tasted spoiled. In looking at the menu, none of the entrees seemed to come with rice and beans, so in hindsight, they might not sell much of those items. My burrito, taco, salsa and margarita were great. I should've just skipped the sides and ordered only an entree. My server was very prompt and great. I can tell he's been serving for a long time. I also liked...
Read moreMuy fantastico. The food is tasty and the service exceptional. The folks who run this spot are amazing in how they will accommodate you and make you feel like old friends.
I have tried several items and all have been very good. The burrito California, chili Verde, Pollo asado tacos đŽ, chimichangas abd even a simple bean burrito đŻ were all terrific.
They have this tomatillo salsa that is incredible. You have to ask for it, but it is wow.
I would definitely recommend making a visit. As for the other reviews that mention slow service or less than desirable food, I don't but it. I have been when there was nobody there and when it was packed. The service had always been on point. The food, well, it speaks for...
