So if I had to rate it on Mongolian beef and general tso chicken, it'd be 5 stars. Other dishes we've had there are very hit or miss. The service is the same. Sometimes very friendly and helpful and other times not so much. The stars get knocked for me for a few reasons but the top ones are this, the inconsistency in food quality and friendliness. The egg roll / spring roll is completely mushy inside, every time. The lunch special comes with hot and sour or egg drop but wonton is more, I have made all three and know their ingredients, so my guess is that they know wonton is a favorite of many and are just trying to eek out more money, which leads to the next star knocker, their drinks that are soda. They charge the high price of unlimited soda drinks you get elsewhere but theirs is not but for one 8 oz little bottle. ONE 8oz. not even a 12 oz can. So if you go for lunch and want wonton soup to cost more a 2 dollar 8oz soda, a mushy egg roll and inconsistent food and service it's great..... (There mangolian beef and general tso chicken however is the best in...
Read moreI visited this past weekend for the first time. Food was good, I believe it was owner who came out and spoke with us and was very friendly. Wait staff...a whole different story. I will never go back nor did we tip this awful woman. We had our twins with us, they are 9 months old. One of them squealed and a customer got upset, which I truly think is ridiculous about one squeal. They moved to other side of restaurant. But then a second table was sat down and the waitress proceeded to go over to them and tell them she would recommend them moving because of us. We were waiting on tickets to pay and leave while all this happened. Our kids did nothing for that to have happened. And all the while in another part of the restaurant was a crying baby. Due to this we will never be going back. Plenty of good Chinese food around to spend my money. Not for a...
Read moreWent to the Iron Wok for dinner tonight and enjoyed my food very much.
The restaurant was very clean and had a terrific atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and efficient, and the food was excellent.
Normally with a great dining experience like this I would leave a 5 star rating, except for one unfortunate thing: The booth I was seated in directly faced a big screen TV which was playing Tucker Carlson on Fox News all through my dinner.
Personally I don't believe in politicizing businesses, and I think my dinner experience should be politics-free. I don't air my political slant in MY business, and I don't enjoy having this sort of "dose of politics" with my dinner.
I can BARELY give 3 stars on this review because of this.
Do better, Iron Wok, take the politics out of the...
