Kinda a different experience. I applied to work here and was essentially hired. I was sent an offer of employment conditional on a clear background check. I waited 2 weeks before logging into my account and seeing that my background check had cleared. I have a spotless record and have never had issues before. Anyways, I waited a few days to see if I would be called for my start date. After no call, I called myself at a different location as this one was closed. They assured me they would have the manager get in touch with me within the next couple days as she had been on vacation and that if not I was welcome to call the store that weekend because they were reopening. I waited for the call and didn’t get one. I then called the store the day it reopened. No answer. I called again later that day thinking maybe they were busy. Still no answer. I called several times throughout the day over the next couple days and still got no answer. I’m not sure if they just don’t answer the phone (how does a store not pick up the phone?) or if my number is being ignored, but I’m really disappointed. I was really excited to start working there and had a very positive view of the manager and staff after my interview, but was left hanging. It would have been nice to at least have a call or email saying the offer had been withdrawn for whatever reason rather than getting ghosted. This entire situation began about 3 weeks ago, and I could have been searching for another job if I had some transparency or communication. I always get to go and today when I gave the server my list of items and he acknowledged each ordered item as I asked & even asked they not be heated, I paid and drove home. Unfortunately at home found my coffee, 2 breakfast sandwiches,oops, only one pastries. Yes, I had to drive back to get my husband's missing pastries. The person who took care of my order was not there when I arrived, but my husband called ahead and spoke with the server who said he would put it aside for me and at no charge. The person who was aware of the missing item had it ready for me, however she was told I was never charged for it and I was asked to pay for the missing pastry. I was not offered a receipt, but I could have, and will next time for sure. I responded by asking how do I know if I was not charged without the receipt and that I had to drive back to get the missing item. She said politely, just take it. The lessons here for customers is get the receipt on to go orders and employees verify the order before processing. Actually Starbucks employees usually do repeat the order before processing the sale. For me it was the issue of having to drive back. This will not prevent me from returning to SB. Read moreI was very upset about the service today. I order ahead, once I got there my drink was ready but they were out of the muffin I ordered. No problem things happen. I was told to see cashier which I did. There was a customer in front of me. Once I got to the counter to exchange the young lady walked away but I assumed she would be right back. Nope it took her 8 minutes to come back to the cashier to ask what I needed. The store was not busy at all when I was there. There were maybe 5 workers at the time. None of which acknowledged the fact I was there. You could hear their conversation clearing talking about prom etc. The young lady that was working the Drive thur saw me standing there but Prom was more important. The young man that was there came from the back to the front looked at some paperwork by the cashier and walked off, again didn’t say anything, this was around 11:30am 4/24/23. I needed to share my thoughts on the service today. I was not pleased AT ALL. The service when Teresa’s works is TOP NOTCH.
