Forced to eat here on a regular basis due to lack of restaurants in the area while I'm working. Every time I am asked to try the new chicken strips. I have tried them twice and each time they have been a dark brown bitter tasting old grease taste. Multiple times in the past I have witnessed employees yelling at each other, stacks of customers waiting to have food replaced that has been made wrong, and out of about five or six weekly visits either my food, or another patrons food is either missing something, made wrong, burnt, etc. there appeared to be flies buzzing around the soda machines that have been there for months now. Once about three years ago I actually took the time to leave a bad survey on this restaurant through the McDonald's website. That was a time when I witnessed a loud verbal disagreement between an employee who is cleaning the front floor and the manager on duty. Loud yelling and shouting that has no place in a professional work environment and should have either been an immediate dismissal of the employee causing a ruckus or a private conversation in the back of the restaurant office. Anyone watching it would have found the manager at fault not for the origin of the problem but for the escalation of the problem. I assume this is a franchise location and that is the reason prices are about $.20-$.30 more per item then all of the surrounding McDonald's. If you were to try something completely stupid like expecting a courtesy water or cup of ice, you are met with a charge for a full priced drink. OK I understand if you're going to nickel and dime for the cup of ice. But it's a bit excessive to charge full price when the customer is not trying to get a drink but simply ice in a small cup. Usually they are posting price points for condiments. If you are ordering something that is supposed to have a sauce you will be charged extra for more than one depending on the size nuggets you order. Ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard can also be subject to such charges. Seems that all the wrong corners are cut to boost profit. If this place would run like a well oiled machine profit would automatically boost due to the better more inviting atmosphere. Obviously being a chain restaurant many McDonald's have subpar reputation as compared to say like a Chick-fil-A or something. But if I drive about 6 miles down the road to the Eagles Landing location I am met with a restaurant that could rival at Chick-fil-A and friendliness, service, and overall courtesy. And any other McDonald's in the Henry County area is far above this location in terms of overall quality and service. I believe once or twice I have been in the restaurant when who I believe to be either the head manager or possibly the owner of the franchise was present. There was a noticeable difference in how employees conducted themselves and The gentleman was extremely friendly and even took the time to ask customers how everything was. In any case I recommend against this if you have the choice. They're not going to lose my business at least until the fast food restaurant across the street that suffered from a fire opens back up. No one needs to reach out to me to assure me that my next experience will be better. Quite simply the same managers seem to have been running this place for years. And all the small time employees have been recycled out many times as they have gone to do other things I assume. So the problems I notice over many years now are systemic and suggestive of the very leadership of the managers. I am sad for whoever owns this franchise as their restaurant could perform much better for them and probably boost the profit. If the immediate area ever expands with multiple restaurants and shopping this McDonald's will likely suffer greatly with...
Read moreI come in a few mornings a week and everyone I deal with in the morning is kind and pleasent. This morning I came thru and a young lady was in the window, she pulled me forward to a space and I ended up just running inside to grab it to save her a trip. But I'm writing to say that young woman is a ray of sunshine and no matter what she's getting from the customer she's just the sweetest thing regardless. I couldn't get her out of my head all morning and I had to say something about her. Please reward the hard worker you have. She's so kind, I could just take her home in my pocket. Oh! And the young man who usually works the pay window in the mornings, he's just as precious and deserves to be acknowledged for his consistently positive happy attitude and how wonderful and patient he is with customers. Ive seen some crazy people show out up there and these young men and women are doing great. Keep up their moral and acknowledge their great work because they deserve it and have earned it. Thank you!! I'm sorry I don't have their names, of the manager would like to reach out I'd be happy to help identify them specifically. Thank you!
I'm adding to my review a month later, because I finally got the name of the young lady that is wonderful there in the mornings, Marina! Y'all I go there most days and shes wonderful. She's so sweet and pleasant, no matter what's going on she's on the ball, working hard, and most of all shes always so kind and helpful. Regardless of the customers attitudes sometimes, shes always giving amazing customer service. There's also another young lady in the first window most days, she has braids and is just as sweet and professional, oh I adore them both. I didn't get her name but she's just as worthy of the recognition as Marina. They are the kind of workers McDonalds needs to do everything in their power to keep. Please reward these ladies for the impeccable job they do. They're giving Chikfila type service, and I would love to see them acknowledged for their work ethic, professionalism and kindness. Also, I don't want to leave out the young man who works in the first window some mornings when the lady with braids isnt. He's top notch and a sweetie pie and should be acknowledged right along with the other ladies. I'm only taking the time to do this because they made such an impression on me. I don't ever write reviews really unless I'm really taken aback. McDonald's is notorious for the customer service level that we all have found lacking at most locations. This is the first one ever in Henry county, and I've lived here my whole life, to be so consistently impressive. I hope you all know how great you're doing, your work ethics will take you far. Thank you for making my mornings go so smooth and for your kindness. I hope the manager sees this and rewards your hard work. You...
Read moreI seem to have to leave a poor review every time I come here. Only this time I didn't get a receipt to leave an official McDonalds review, so I'm here instead.
Had a mobile order. Waited 15 minutes without any sign of my order. I go up to one of the doors: Locked! It was only 5pm! I went around to the other side door: Locked! So I went to the drive-thru instead.
Person 1 asked me what my order was. Then Person 2 came and asked what my order was. Then Person 3 came and asked what my order was. Person 3 then stepped away from the Drive-thru area and came back with a somewhat wrinkled and grease-stained bag. I finally got my order of cold fries and a cold, soggy chicken sandwich. And a coke zero with now-melted ice. No apologies, no explanations.
This was an online order, meant to be 5 minutes after posting I was there. Ended up taking 30 minutes with cold food and watered down coke. I ended up having to take it home and reheat in the oven just to make it warm and edible.
Everyone, do yourselves a favor. There's another McDonalds just up the road, about a 3 minute drive, right next to the Eagles Landing Bottle Shoppe. It's a much, MUCH better McDonalds with better service and better food. Take the extra 3 minute drive. Its what I will be doing from now on.
I will never, ever, be visiting this McDonalds ever again. I've said it in the past but figured maybe after a while, things have changed. Nope. Still as bad as always. And with a Google rating score of under 3 stars, it seems like I'm not the only one that feels that way.
