Ordered take away from here since our regular greek restaurant closes at 8pm. I cannot say I liked it nor can I state that I disliked it. It was just meh.... As someone who has eaten many a grecian meal from street vendors and restaurants alike, maybe they had to cut corners or acquired cooking skills due to also offering indian food on the menu as well. The good: their price range was extremely fair and the serving portions were representative of this; which were also fair. The establishment was smallish, but clean, inviting with a decent mood setting. The restaurant was empty on a Friday evening @around 2045. I arrived to pick up my order and the 3 employees that were present were attentive and courteous. The bad: although the gyro meat was just okay tasting, it was apparent that the meat was from a preformed frozen patty which was then pan fried and served whole in the platter and sandwich. It was not from a loaf nor assembled slices cooked on a vertical rotisserie. Because of this the taste is very different from what it normally tastes like. (Texturally also). It was not very good. Individual orders of hummus and feta both tasted okay but mechanical, such as you would find in any grocery store. The pita bread was hot and fluffy (the arabic version). The ugly: the Spanokapita (spinach pie/triangle) was presented well and looked very pretty. The taste was not very good. There was a ton of spinach and almost no cheese. No seasoning whatsoever. I dont believe there were any leeks or onions either. I really dont know. All I tasted was a mouth full of spinach. Conclusion: if someone doesnt know what greek food is supposed to taste like, then I would suppose this is a decent restaurant. For me, given the chance; I would not...

Tonight, I had an unfortunate encounter at Metropolis Grill that left me deeply disappointed. I had gone in with a simple order in mind: 2 shrimp stir fry dishes and a side of hummus. However, upon returning home, my expectations were shattered when I discovered that I had been given 2 steak stir fry meals instead.
This mix-up was more than an inconvenienceāit was a serious issue for my husband and me, both of whom have severe red meat allergies. Knowing the risks, I immediately called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake.
What followed was a frustrating conversation with the staff member on the other end of the line. Despite my repeated attempts to explain that we are pescatarians due to our food allergies, he adamantly insisted that I had ordered steak. The lack of understanding and empathy was truly disheartening.
To make matters worse, I was then informed that they were unable to correct the order that same night. Instead, I was told to return tomorrow for the correct dishes. This disregard for the urgency of the situation was incredibly disappointing.
As a customer, I believe that our needs and concerns should be taken seriously. Sadly, my experience at Metropolis Grill tonight fell far short of that expectation. While the food may be good, the lack of care for customer well-being and the insistence on arguing over a mistake is unacceptable.
If you value prompt and considerate service, I would strongly advise against dining at Metropolis Grill.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust left metropolis around 20 minutes ago, and weve been going for years probably 100 times. Honestly though, never again unless something happens. Tonight was the worst service i've ever had at any restaurant in my life. Got sat and waited 10 minutes just to get our drinks taken. Another 10 for them to arrive. After we got our order placed. Two appetizers, a kids meal, and two entrees. While waiting the 30 minutes to get our food 3 other tables that were sat after us got full service before our food even came out(What parts actually came out). We didnt get our appetizers until 20 minutes after the mains got to us, the waitress never asked if we'd still want them, and then brought them to my table in to-go boxes. Personally thats like a slap in the face. She did though say her manager gave us a discount. an 82$ bill discounted down to 63$ was enough for me to be happy with. I put my card on the table, and asked for a box. ANOTHER 10ish minutes go by and finally the manager took my check, and gave it over to the waitress. She goes back and charges it, and I get a bank notification for a 73$ charge!!!! Then she comes out with some bs story about her manager saying she put in the wrong thing. Then she didnt give me a pen and STILL NO BOX. I had to ask another server for it.
This was a massive fumble from every single person in this restaurant besides the sweet girl that sat us. Naturally the waitress got a fat 0 as a tip, and like I said at the start metropolis will literally never see a dime from me again if this isnt dealt with...
