Parker's Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

Okay so I come to this restaurant my husband and I probably four out of five of the days it is open and so I pull up this morning and there's a note on the doors stating sorry closed on Thursday due to short of staff sorry so it was a surprise and shocker to me as I'm leaving a customer an older man pulls up tries one door goes to the another door and they let him in and lock the door right back because how I know that is I parked my car got out and walked to the door the gentleman walked in and it was locked and he was inside the restaurant and when I looked there's several people sitting down at tables enjoying breakfast so very confused at the sign says that y'all were closed yet only certain individuals are allowed in that is so unprofessional and down right wrong you cannot pick and choose who's worthy enough to be served at your restaurant that's not right and if it was the regulars that y'all were letting in I feel as if I'm considered a regular taking that I come there four out of five of the days that y'all are open. I absolutely love getting my breakfast from y'all I actually have wished and wanted Parker's to be open Saturdays and Sundays but I understand you know people need days off and so forth I get it but I'm down right very upset because I don't think I've ever felt the way I'm feeling now with any other restaurant. I am really really disappointed because it's not right you have a sign that says closed due to short staff yet you're picking and choosing who you let in the building I mean it's not like my order is humongous and tons of food it's either one to two biscuits along with one to two drinks. I am extremely disappointed. And now I have to drive clear across town to get breakfast because you are closed but yet you're picking and choosing who you let in to serve I may not be back ever that is how upset I am

I will never be able to say enough about this place! The "meat and three" is a Southern tradition, and sadly, one that is disappearing. Parker's Restaurant has been serving great food in North Georgia for well over 50 years! They know what it takes to give folks a great meal at a great price! The staff, who are mostly family members, not only serve food, they also become friends with the people who frequent this establishment. I've personally been eating at Parker's for about 30 years, and even though I live in Nashville, I never visit my hometown without stopping in for a meal. And I'm always greeted with smiles and hugs, and they mostly even remember what I like to eat! You just can't beat that! And I've brought people in there from all over the country that are visiting, and not one has ever had anything but great things to say about the experience. I wish we had a place like this in Nashville, so I hope everyone in Dalton appreciates what...

I ordered my food specifically asking if their steak n gravy was country steak with white gravy. The girl said it wasn’t, but they could make it for me so I ordered 2 plates with 3 sides. I picked up my food, got home and the plates were only the 3 sides, no meat. I called back to let them know the mistake and the girl was very rude saying how they didn’t charge me for it and she rung me up herself. I never once said they did charge me as that was never the issue. My issue was my meat not being charged and not even included in my order; although I specifically requested it and that’s why I ordered in the first place. That being said as I couldn’t even get my point across I did not return. The customer service I received was horrendous. I won’t be back. I’ll stick to Kelly’s on 41 where the food, accuracy , and customer service...
