I have to be as honest as I can in this review. I have been to the Raising Canes Restaurant in Athens GA and always had a wonderful experience. My family and I have been eagerly waiting for Canes to open in our neighborhood of Hamilton Mill Dacula GA. I really waited 7 days to let some of the excitement pass before having lunch there. I cannot believe the debacle that was my first experience. It took over 45 minutes to order and receive my food. The lines were not exceptionally long but I could not understand way it took so long with so many staff members working, and they are only making Chicken, fries and slaw. This is something Canes has been doing for a long time and i would expect them to be able to cook these few things quickly and efficiently. I was very wrong. The other big issue is how poorly treated I was by the staff. Again, I would expect them to be over-the-top kind being a new location. SO... I made another trip this afternoon 13 days after opening to see if this was a one-off situation. BUT NO, it was worse. The lady directing traffic had no idea what she was doing. She was mean and appeared to not want to be there. She angerly stopped me twice before entering the order lanes and then she tried to pull my car out of the order lane to the second order lane, but the cones would not allow. So, she pulled me out of one lane into an exit lane. I exchanged a few words with her and left. I wasn't going to take the attitude and the lack of respect. The entire time she didn't smile, apologized, or attempt to right the issue. I have over 20 years in Food and Beverage, so I have patients and compassion for restaurant workers, but she and the others I encountered were horrable. There are just only so many dollars in our area for dining. So many restaurants have opened in our neighborhood, and we have so many options, I'm just not going to spend my hard-earned money with a business that doesn't care about the consumer. I immediately drove over to Chick Fil A and apologized to them for not just going there in the first place. I was immediately met with a smile and was welcomed and felt appreciated. I received a hot accurate meal where it was happy to spend my...
Read moreI have never been treated so horrible and like a criminal ever in the days of my life. My family decided they wanted dinner from Canes on this evening and as normal it was a line of 7-8 cars deep. My daughter insisted having it so we stayed for her. I approached the window and Elizabeth greeted us along with total($10 even), and we returned the greeting. I asked her to add a Cane's Sauce & she expressed it would be an .41 upcharge, which was fine. I proceeded to pay for my order with cash in $2 bills as I do in mannnny establishments. I gave Elizabeth six $2 bills totaling $12 for my $10.41 order. I figured as typical I would get my change and food and exit the line. About minutes have passed and I was yet to receive my change or food so I looked inside and there was a crowd of employees standing around looking at my cash and holding it up to the light. Then they started to tried to act like nothing was wrong. SOOOO. ..next I see a young lady entered the circle of employees with a counterfeit pen to swipe my bills. At this point I'm livid because she opened the window and told me "oh nothings wrong". By now 12mins+ have passed I'm still at the window without my change or food and my kid in the car asking me what are they doing with my money and why are they not giving us our food. I blew my horn and asked them is there a problem with my cash and what was the hold up. I then asked the manager that stood in the back to come speak with me and he refused. I asked for his name and they all refused to communicate it. I asked for my money back after they tested the bills and confirmed they were in fact legitimate USD currency and paid with three $5bills. She then tried to explain they test all currency over $5 bills which I know was a lie because it took them over 10mins to find a pen to check my $2 bills....
Read moreLet me get right to it. My daughter had been wanting to go here, we ran into one on the way home and we gladly decided to have lunch there. The food is highly overrated. The chicken is just ok and there are no choices in dipping sauce. Sauce was peppery and salty. Fries are a nightmare if you have HBP. I had to take my order back to the counter to ask for new fries with no salt and the cashier asked me to wait and never returned to me she continued to take care of the line and called no one from the back to assist me. I soon went back to my seat (in her view) still to response from the cashier about my fries. I trashed them. My order was placed as a dine in but the package EVERYTHING to go so what’s the point in asking if I wanted it for here???? The tables were unkept, Garbage was beyond full, one cashier for the busy location, and the drive through people were eating while pushing out orders. I would have taken a video but did not want to risk any legality. I lost money throwing away food and will not be back to this location. I ordered 3 meals. VERY DISAPPOINTED DACULA! Wait…. Did I mention the terrible parking and dangerous point of entry for customers coming between moving vehicles to enter just WOW! Please excuse the picture of the garbage I had to zoom in to crop out the customers as I did not have their permission for a photo. But yes that is the heaping pile of garbage at the entrance of the restaurant. You have absolutely no options here so I would suggest visiting Huey Magoo‘s where the presentation is excellent as well as the customer service which was very poor at this location. I really can go on and on but I’m going to stop here you be the judge if you dare to try...
