I usually donāt write reviews but the last couple of times Iāve been to this Shaneās it hasnāt been anything short of disappointing. I used to work here so I am aware of the standards that the restaurant sets with its service and food. The last two times in particular have been bad experiences. I ordered food from the app which has never been and issue. I do curbside pick up and I get there, put the spot I am in, and wait for them to bring out my food. I wait 25 minutes. So I go in and they tell me they didnāt receive my order however I got the loyalty points for it. So Iām assuming they may have accidentally given it to someone which is fine. However I had to wait another 25 minutes to get my food, to which the portion size was small. I went again today and I got my food but they forgot sauces, and the food size was even more disappointing than last time. If you are paying about $10 for a meal you should at least get some value for money. The servers were not particularly friendly either. Overall Iām not one to complain about food or restaurants in general but Iāve been disappointed these last couple of times Iāve been to this location. The pictures below were the last order I got. The food tasted fine, at least the food that was edible and not just crunchy bits passed of as a āboneless wingā. I ordered the 10 piece boneless wing and as you can see in the top right of the picture itās basically all end bits of the batter. The only pieces that were actually chicken were barely big enough for me to pick up with my fork. I hope they improve the standards at this location but for now I donāt see myself coming back to this one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell, I do understand i came in at closing time and I apologized off the rip for coming in so late, but it was one min till close and there was other people in the restaurant waiting on food already, meaning no-one went out of their way to make my order. The young lady dressed very inappropriately in her super short bottoms didnt want to take my order i had to ask her to ask another team member if I could order something simple. A pulled pork sandwich, no fried foods or anything everything was already made and prepared. As I could see it in the warmer pans in the kitchen. She did let me order one meal and then my boyfriend walks in and they refused to serve him a meal after I just ordered a meal. And suggested maybe a coleslaw because it was a cold item, she "had to ask" ( keep in mind it's only like 8:02pm they "close" at 8pm)
Now im in the service industry too, and i would never treat a paying customer the way i was treated tonight. No smiles, no understanding I just got off work too and just wanted a nice meal for dinner and went out of my way to spend my money with Shane's and this is how I am to be treated because I came into the store that you still had unlocked doors and open sign on . I don't think I will be doing that again.
Given the food is always great. And was good tonight but the service. Not so much. I dont suggest letting young adults run your restaurant for this reason. There was no compassion and understanding in this situation at all. They were just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey stole my $18. I tried doing an online order and I had thought I picked the store near my house. Totally my fault, I get it. I called over to see if they could transfer the order over to the location on Hwy 81. I had work in 20 minutes and had no time to drive to this location. They told me they couldn't do that so I asked if it was possible to get a refund. She said sure and it would take 3-5 business days to process. That same day I even ordered a new, even more expensive order from the location next to my house, because I felt bad about them making food for no reason. Here I am A week later and my bank has no record of a refund, or even anything pending. I emailed Shane's days ago with no response... I spent even MORE money with the company after my mistake and this is how they treat their customers? By ignoring them? I hope someone from the company sees this. $18 might not be a lot to some people, or to this company but in the covid world, for me it's enough to make an issue. I hope it was worth the bad review. š
Update I was told I had to go through postmates to get my money back and postmates said they only do refunds at the time of the order (which does not state anything on their website or was I made aware of that by Shane's) if you're going to use an online service, at least know how it works.
