I decided to stop at this restaurant being that Iām new to the area and wanted to try something new. For starters I tried calling to place my order over the phone prior to arriving at this location but of course I received no answer. Once I walked into the establishment their was no one at the counter so I wasnāt greeted. I stood there for a minute before I said āHelloā once I said āHelloā a voice from the back yelled āHold Onā so I said āOkayā then a short lady approaches the counter with a nasty attitude and terrible demeanor. It was my first time here so Iām trying to review the menu every question I asked she had a quick agitated response. After I seen how she continued to act and talk to me I told her I would leave. My thing is if you donāt like your job then find a new one, but when you go to work your supposed to put your best foot forward regardless of how you feel. Iām not sure if she was a worker or the owner either way itās unacceptable. The sad thing is this place could have possibly had good food but they lost a customer due to terrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI received the food through DoorDash. It looked good, but the taste is a different story. I had the Lg curry chicken combo with rice and beans, with cabbage. The curry chicken was bland in flavor, but the color of curry was there. I had plenty of potatoes, but very slim pickings of meat. The rice, beans, and curry chicken was burnt, as if it was the bottom of the pan when you leave food in the pan with no water in the steam well for too long. The rice and beans were stuck together, with no gravy on the rice and beans as requested. I was not impressed at all. The cabbage was ok I guess. Iāve definitely had better and thereās actually only one place I only go to for Jamaican food. I thought I would try this place out outta convenience and I wish I didnāt . I couldnāt even eat the food entirely due to the overwhelming burnt taste and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have traveled all over Georgia, and I have tried several Jamaican Restaurants and my opinion remains the same as it was over 10 years ago, when I first tried Spice Island. There is not one restaurant that serves Caribbean food that can compete when it comes to authenticity and flavor. I am constantly disappointed, having had Jamaican food most of my life, with the lack of personality or warmth, the blatant lack of Customer appreciation and the lack of taste at every Jamaican place I have tried so far, with the exception of Spice Island. I did enjoy the food and the staff at Natty's in Marietta, if i could just get more potatoes in the curry chicken... that is disappointing every time. However they are still my second choice. I wish I still lived in...
