Most authentic Jamaican spot I’ve tried yet. Food is very well presented, fresh, good taste and have the essence of Jamaica. Beef Patties here are very consistent and worth it along with their fresh coco bread. Love it. It’s Jamaica in Atlanta here. Also finally a spot that does fried chicken. Other Jamaican spots always seem to forget their heritage and skip out on it. This place doesn’t. If they add delivery, update the inside and advertising they’d own the entire neighborhood easily. But sometimes those things can distract away from things and cause less quality. Don’t second guess. Give them a try.

Chill atmosphere, calm cool prompt service, and absolutely delicious foods. I only wish they had sweet plantains as well but the fried ones are authentic and complement the food well if you like that texture. I will be back. Update: I went back and they still have the same awesome friendly service and they had delectable sweet plantains this time. This is my new go to restaurant for awesome carribbean comfort food. No bad attitudes or unnecessarily slow service. The food is impeccable!

I ordered the jerk chicken and shrimp rasta pasta. My friend got the shrimp rasta pasta. My total was 28$ i believe which made me so hapoy the price is fair and I got a lot and I was so happy I could mix chicken and shrimp. It was very spicy but ohhh sooo good! It is very spicy tho! Even the oxtail rasta pasta was pretty pretty spicy. My husband couldnt take it. He gave his plate away...I can't wait to try more things on the menu.

Visited today..I ordered vegetable stir fry.Waited 20 minutes for my order and when I recieved it it smelled good.. Top vegetables were cold, fine stirred it in with the rest and walah.. I started eating and it was like eating coleslaw it was undercooked so I waited for everyone to leave and told the heavy set dark woman it was undercooked.. She in turn told the cook..The arrogant little chef sat at the table and told me it was stir fry..its supposed to be crunchy..no this is like coleslaw and I wanted to tell him that it was not only crunchy but it looked like garbage..he said he would fix it and brought back a plate of warmed over cabbage trash.. Before I would ever ever sit a plate of trash in front of anyone I would just start over fresh..I eat here often and I usually have the shrimp stir fry and never has it ever been as sorry as it was today... I left the garbage for then to eat....I will not return to Banana tree again.. I know that you have a lot of patrons but you have to always be mindful of how you treat people.Just as easily as you come up you can fall...

I have frequented this location for many years and the food has always been good. Since they have hired new people, the service has gone down hill. I came in to place a to-go order as which point my order was taken by a new woman with a tattoo on her neck. She seemed annoyed while taking the order. When I stepped outside to take a phone call I was told that unless I paid up front my order would not be put in. I found this highly unusual as I have placed orders by phone for years. ANyway, upon returning for my order a different young woman was seated behind the counter preoccupied with her cell phone. When I finally got her attention, she sighed and walked while mumbling "Im on break , God!" at which point another gentlemen responded to her that if she is on break she should go outside. This place again has great food but lately is not my first choice. Red Hills has better service and grilled jerk...

Went in asked for the lunch special decided on Jerk shrimp pasta instead. His words were , "it's cooked to order, you'll have to wait 20 mins." Sir, don't threaten me with fresh food! I'm here for it. If you are like me you've been experiencing a downslide in food quality but an uptick on pricing. I discovered this gem back in 2012 so 10 years later and they still have the best Jamaican food on this side of town. I'm thoroughly impressed! And, and, it's the little things as well. Case and point this Lemonade is good AF, way better than Minute maid. And the utensils are in plastic, not just sitting out uncovered. And despite the hike in pricing elsewhere, this is totally worth it. Bring cash or you'll get a 4% upchsrge.. stay...
