Touchdown Wings is overall a solid wing spot with a unique menu loaded with variety. The food is quality and worth the price. Unfortunately, the service is okay, it is not great, but it is also not the worst out there. The place seems to never not be busy, so there is always typically a wait being the spot’s biggest downfall. Touchdown Wings has its highs in its foods and prices, but the service and typical wait time sets it back from its opponents. Touchdown Wings has quality and flavorful wings. The menu at Touchdown Wings is just not limited to wings though. Their entrees include hamburgers, philly cheese steaks, fish, shrimp, fried rice, salad and several side options. I personally cannot speak for the entrees as I have never tried any besides the wings. The wings take the cake with ease. The wings have a perfect amount of meat and are typically on the wetter side when it comes to the sauce. With that being said, wings have thirty different sauces to choose from. I have had six different sauces, and all were fantastic. The fries being the most popular side choice are solid though can be slightly undercooked for many people’s liking. Overall, the wings are cooked to perfection and covered in the perfect amount of tasty sauce paired and make every penny worth spent. When it comes time to pay for the meal, it will not be a too bad on the bank account. I personally have never had to pay over twenty dollars for two meals. The ten-piece wing combo is ten dollars and some change which is a solid pricing when compared to the amount of food given. Plus, the combo includes a drink which has unlimited refills when dinning in. Unless you are ordering for a family of four or five, then do not expect a high bill. Service is Touchdown Wings’ biggest setback. The cashiers are not terrible, but there is definitely room for improvement. The wait is never shorter than twenty minutes. There is limited seating as the restaurant as a whole is smaller, but with COVID-19 mandates it is even more limited. I suggest for the best experience possible is to call ahead and place the order. Cannot blame the place for being busy and having many customers at a time. You will be taken care of eventually just do not expect Chick Fil A style service. Also, I will say that I have never received any kind of wrong order. Touchdown Wings’ service has its downs, yet it does not ruin the entire experience overall. Dining in at Touchdown Wings is not anything crazy, but you definitely know what kind of environment they are going for. Based on the name alone, the restaurant shoots for a sporty mainly football theme. There are a couple of flatscreens throughout the dinning are playing ESPN or SportsCenter to keep you entertained while eating there. It is a wing spot after all. It is a smaller restaurant, so seating is limited. I personally have never dinned in and always opt to get carry out, but it is simply a personal preference. The atmosphere is harmless and what you expect from this kind of restaurant. . To sum it all up, Touchdown Wings is not the most perfect restaurant out there, but the quality of the food is where it strives. The service can be lacking sometimes, but it really is not that big of deal as not much service is really required. On top of the service, the wait can be a bit long and possibly too long sometimes. The feel and atmosphere of the place is a sporty theme hence the name Touchdown Wings. The thirty different sauces and wings is really what makes this place. The wings are perfect and priced reasonably making up for all that Touchdown Wings lacks. Touchdown Wings is not the fanciest of places, but it does...
Read moreI don’t know why this location won’t admit that they DO NOT TAKE CALL IN ORDERS. When you order over the phone THEY DO NOT start preparing your order until you arrive and pay. Poor customer service. After over a year ( because I only go to the Main street location) I gave them another try yesterday hoping they’d gotten better as it’s closer to me. When I called I told the girl “ can y’all please have my order ready?” she said “ok” get there… same thing ( not ready). I was smart this time as I made her see if my order was ready BEFORE I paid. She didn’t even have to look and said “ nah it’s not “ lol- because once you pay OF COURSE you’re going to wait. I called the Main Street location & by the time I drove from this location to Main Street (9 minutes) my food was ready and piping hot!! That’s why Main Streets parking lot is usually clear because they ACTUALLY take phone orders. Black people need to spend their money where we are treated with great customer service. Main Street is WAYYYYYY better and their food is better as well and that may be because they don’t cater to JUST US over that way. I will continue to drive that 9...
Read moreFirst and foremost, I would like to say that the flavor was very good, and the staff was very friendly. My reasons for not giving 5 stars are: (1.) The wings are THE smallest wings I've ever seen. Whatever your normal quantity is, get more, and (2.) I found it a little disturbing that when I ordered a philly and 6 wings, and they accidentally came out with 10, they actually took my order back to the kitchen and you could see where they poured or dumped them out of my container. Where'd they go? Did they serve them to someone else after they had been brought out of the kitchen and then went back? If not, why not just say "oops ... you get a few extra wings."? Anyway, the two items I had - the philly and 6 wings (hot) were both fresh and flavorful. Fortunately, I didn't care about the fries - they were just OK, but with a philly and 6 wings, who needs fries too? Certainly worth going! Just order more wings than you...
