Terrible service. Will never return here again. I sat down at the counter and no one acknowledged me for 15 minutes. This is ranked as the top 3 worse experiences I received in over 30 years of dining out. Not one soul out of 7-8 people said a word. I felt the staff had known something was wrong, but no one spoke up. Things became awkward. There were as many on staff as there were customers and still no hello or offer for water. Another guy that was a regular sat down at the same time, orders, received his food, and drink and left. This was becoming a social experiment to me at this point. I kept quiet and stared at my phone and finally after 17 minutes Katy asked me if I have been serviced. I told her no and how long I’d been there and this was the worse service in some time as a new person to this restaurant. She apologized multiple times and provided me appropriate service. Yes, I could have spoke up and yes I could have left. I wanted to give the manager and staff a chance to adjust and catch their breath and reset. The world is constantly telling us to be patient with our staff because of a shortage. I gave them all the space and time needed. Even when things slowed down and the staff reset their comeback was terrible. I gave them my best patience, but there was zero reciprocation on their end. These folks do this for a living. Should know better and have done better. There’s no mistake. This was bad service at its finest. Two mangers ignored me even after telling Katy my complaint. Bad, bad, bad. Thanks to Katy I’ll keep coming to Waffle House, but not to this one. I never take time to write this much unless my experience was terrible. This...
Read moreThe servers in there are extremely rude. I’ve been a fan of waffle house, my entire life. Today I tried to eat lunch at this one in Dacula, GA. I had been waiting for a table, but needed to grab a little lunch before having a long medical procedure . When my turn was up me they were clearing off the next table I stood over next to it waiting quietly. The older male and older female servers cleaning it off ask me how many were with me (it was kind of an obvious answer since I was standing there by myself). When I said one they grimaced immediately and so I asked them if there was a problem. The woman then said they like to reserve the booths for two or more people at lunchtime. That would be fine but they had just seated a female in her 30s alone in a booth 3 minutes earlier that had been waiting with me and there was also a 20 something year old male 2 booths down by himself. There were only two men waiting that had just walked in together (and since another booth was also being cleared no one would’ve been put out). But they were so rude that I told them that that was fine I could leave. And I will...
Read moreThis was the second Waffle House I went to, the first one I walked out of. The first one, store number 923353, started bad as soon as I walked in. No greeting, table was disgusting, and the floor needed attention also. After being ignored for a couple of minutes, I walked out! Found another Waffle House just a couple of miles away. Completely different experience. Was greeted as soon as I walked in; the waitress was cheerful and friendly. The table was clean and ready for me. Likewise so was the floor. I commented on my first experience with the folks here and they kinda acknowledged that other store sometimes has 'issues'. Right, nuff said. Folks here we're great and accommodating. Food was cooked as requested, even the bacon was just perfect as I prefer it to be chewy, NOT crispy. Seems like I have problems getting bacon cooked as I ask for. And, the hash browns were cooked crispy; could hold it like a potato chip. That was great. So pay attention and avoid that first...
