I went to Waffle House off Salem at about 3:35-3:40 AM . As I pulled up, and got out of my car after calling several times with no answer. I saw three employees sitting on the side of the establishment. I walk in as a young man walks in behind me. There were two customers already inside eating, and the place was A MESS! Plates and trash all over the tables , and no one , ABSOLUTELY NO ONE inside to greet us, nor to take our orders. We sat inside for about a minute or two and no one still came to greet us. I heard the young man say, “it’s nobody here” and I responded, “they’re all outside on the side of the building.” I waited a few seconds then proceeded to walk outside to address them. I asked if they were all the staff and the lady responds “yes” and I’m like, “ ooookay, so is anyone going to come in and take our order” and she tells me they’re ALL on break” and I tell them I called multiple times and no one answered the phone, and she tells me they don’t answer phones after 12AM. So I stand and look at them for a minute, and I’m like okay so no one is going to take our order, and she tells me I can go inside and WAIT. I turn around to my car while stating how crazy that is that everyone that works in there is outside smoking. She responds with a smart remark and I drive off! But I turn back around to capture the moment because no one still budges m, or shows care to attend to anyone inside, as the young man is STILL INSIDE WAITING! So I record while saying how it doesn’t make any sense that every single person on shift is sitting outside, and the female tells me to go home and cook! She proceeds to flip me off , and that’s the photo you see here! All I wanted was to grab a swift bite, and go home, but this was A HOT MESS AND EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! Customer service, TERRIBLE! And the FACT THAT NO ONE AT ALL BUDGED for those 10-15 mins of me being there was just pitiful. If I could give 0 stars I WOULD because WHAT IN THE WORLD?!? I really hope she isn’t apart of management because she should definitely be demoted OR FIRED! DO BETTER! Read moreDecent area... When dinning there, there was a server that greeted us as we came in. After a few minutes she came over to take the order (to-go) and asked what beverages we wanted to drink. We ended up getting our food almost an hour later, considering it was only two other people plus myself carrying out. It wasn't at all that packed for it to be a saturday night. So you would've thought that we would have gotten our food just a tad bit sooner. Once we finally got our food and paid, we discovered the food was cold, syrup had burst in the bag and the bag was packed when the food could've been divided up into seperate bags (we asked for another bag). There's no reason for it to be "one ticket", three different meals with multiple sides for it to be packed all within one bag in the first place. Read moreWas just passing through on my way to NC and stopped for a meal. Breakfast was great and service as well, however my 5 star rating is actually for the manager of this establishment Makir. There was an incident that occurred while we were dining and let's just say this young man did an excellent job at addressing the issue. Customers think that they're always right but when you threaten an employee for doing thier job well you lose that right ( at least in my opinion) Funny cause I was just talking to my husband about this young man Makir and how great he handles the line. I've worked in the food industry many years and trust me it's not easy. Then the incident happened and how he stepped up was very commendable. Great job!!!
