Review of Wendy's on Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, Georgia:
My experiences at the Wendy's on Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, Georgia have unfortunately been consistently inconvenient and filled with hardships. Throughout the pandemic, this particular Wendy's location has proven itself to be a source of frustration. One of the notable issues I've encountered is their frequent closure of the indoor dining area, leaving only the drive-thru available. This restriction can be quite inconvenient, especially for those who prefer to dine inside or are unable to use the drive-thru for various reasons.
The long wait times at this Wendy's drive-thru have become an all-too-common occurrence. Even on my most recent visit, the line was excessively long, which was particularly frustrating as I had limited time before work. Hoping to bypass the drive-thru, I decided to go inside, only to be greeted by a large sign stating that the credit card machine was broken and all transactions must be conducted through the drive-thru. This added another layer of inconvenience and disappointment to my experience.
Furthermore, I was disheartened to learn from a member of my household about their recent encounter at this Wendy's. They were overcharged for a $6 meal, as the receipt revealed a charge of $12. Discovering this discrepancy after consuming the meal, they promptly returned to the restaurant to rectify the issue. However, the staff responded with rudeness and unfounded accusations, making the situation even more unpleasant.
In addition to these recurring issues, inconsistent operating hours have been a source of frustration. This Wendy's location has been known to close early without prior notice, causing disappointment and inconvenience for customers who were hoping to dine there. Even worse, there have been instances where the drive-thru staff claimed that their machines were down late at night, which raises concerns about the credibility of their explanations.
Considering my experiences and the experiences of others, I would caution potential customers about the inconveniences and hardships they may encounter at the Wendy's on Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, Georgia. The inconsistent hours, closure of the indoor dining area, long drive-thru lines, overcharging incidents, and unprofessional behavior from staff members have unfortunately tainted my perception of this particular...
Read moreHere we go. The cashier staff spend too much time engaging each other than attending to the customer. The staff need more customer service training. I walked when the drive thru was wrapped around the building. While waiting a young man walked in as he was early for his shift, but kept walking from behind the counter and going back to the inner workings at Wendy's. I never saw him wash his hands and no he wasn't cleaning the dining area or taking out the trash. The last straw: when I placed my order with the young lady for 3 orders, I asked to have each order in Indivi dual bags. She took a big breath as if that were too much. (I had 2 orders I was dropping off and easy separation. I am patronizing the business. Don't need to explain my requests. All my combos came with large drinks. She came with 3 large drinks, put them on the counter and walked away. I stood there waiting for her to come back. Guess what she didn't do? Bring the drink carrier! I asked her for it and she went away simply sliding the drink holder on the counter as if I were asking too much. I could not tolerate it any longer! I firmly looked at her and told she needed some serious customer service training. Our young people need work ethics and serious workforce preparation and development skills. It's a simple job where customer service is everything no matter where you. Practice it to embody wherever you are going career wise. I won't be back because it is difficult to tolerate the small stuff some young people look at too casually. You dealing with food and service. Remember you are working. Manager please develop your people. By all means, share this message with your employees. Remember they are at work and it's...
Read moreAt 2:55 I placed an online order. At about 3:15 I pulled up to the store and tapped "I'm here" on the app as instructed. I went inside, and there was a customer screaming about the poor service, and the staff was screaming right back. As awkward as that was, I just stood back and looked for the "Mobile Orders" sign. There was no sign. So I went to the counter and waited for the next available crew member. I was told to get in the back of the 4 person-long line to "check in." So I did. I got to the front, checked in, and waited. 20 minutes later, they called me up, wrong order, and what I assume was the supervisor started getting an attitude with me for taking the wrong order, when I was called up by name and my name was clearly on the receipt they'd stuck to the back--the wrong bag. Wasn't my food. So I go back to waiting. At 3:50, I had to just leave to get back to work before my lunch break ended. When I gave up and left, it took me another minute or two to even get out of the parking lot because the drive thru line was so long it stretched into the street. About 8 people came in, ordered, got their food, and left in the time I was there. Don't place mobile orders here. Don't use the drive thru here. Probably better off just avoiding this...
