I do not know what’s going on with eegee’s- I’m originally from Tucson and this was a staple for us. If you ordered ahead, you could get any flavor from their warehouse. Things have really taken a turn for the worst. I’m not sure who the new owners are, but they are nickel and dimming every customer when it comes to not being able to upgrade your meal to a biggie. Offering chips as the default for combo, instead of their staple fries? I’m sorry, but that is not eegee’s. When I asked the person at the window with the new owner was they just shrugged their shoulders and they said I don’t know , acting like they don’t even care about the . I went to the second window to get my food, and the guy gave me my food, then shut the window quickly not even ensuring that I got what I ordered . Service here is poor . Since Eegee came to Gilbert my kids, and I were really excited that we had this place that we loved in Tucson so close to home . We would advocate to our family and friends who live here in Gilbert to use their food for family parties however, I haven’t heard a lot of good things about them. I used to advocate for eegee’s even trying to buy their party packs for my workplace, but I think with this nickel and diming I’m no longer gonna support this company. I think they should think long and hard about what makes them good as a company like being able to upgrade to additional sizes no matter what your base meal is - including the kids meal. My kids may want a smaller meal, but they still want a bigger eegee. I may try them one more time and in that case I will upgrade my stars whether I go down to 1 or go up. Eegee’s please reevaluate your business model. It’s not working for us, especially your long time loyal customers who moved to the valley and were excited that you open up locations here. Very...
Read moreGo to Subway not Eegees. Got a full size to share. I don't like salami or peppercini or oil dressings. Asked to put salami-peppercini on other half. Asked no oil vinaigrette so could I have honey mustard? Only reg mustard. She didn't offer anything else. She was put off to alter the half sub. So no condiment. Was told they'd call name when it was ready. We have 30 min for lunch from time we got there till we leave. Took almost 10 min to order. Drink ready right away. Called name. 10 min after order, still no food. Only 2 other people in restaurant. Went up to ask. Was handed sub that was obviously made & just left sitting there. Asked what took so long. She was curt that they had a lot of orders. Really? 2 other people inside there. Rest must have been drive thru or online. It still should be 1st come 1st served. Our food was ready& it just sat there. We told her we only had 30min for lunch. & That it took almost 10 to order. Then they never called our name & 10min later I had to go get it. 10 min to eat. No potty time. Only ate half of the half sub I ordered. Time was up. Sub was good. But a little dry. That's why they got 3* not a 1*. Walked out still a little hungry. Next time go to Subway. You can choose healthy bread not white for only choice. Can choose veggies I want. Can choose from sev dressings. And get my food asap so I have time to eat. GO TO...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru today to order an original grinder today. I asked them to hold the ham and asked if they could substitute pepperoni for the ham.
The drive-thru person told me I could buy the deluxe grinder for $3 more and have them hold them ham. I explained that I didn't want to pay the additional fee of $3 and she said they could not substitute pepperoni for ham without a fee.
I asked what the fee was. She had no idea. Finally after waiting while she was trying to figure it out, I gave up and told her to forget it. She never even bothered to ask a manager or anyone else for help.
It's too bad because I was planning to order the grinder, large fries, a pretzel, and two large Eegee's to share between the two of us in the car.
With the cost of eating out these days, restaurants should remember that there are plenty of other restaurants that will go out of their way to make people happy if you won't. Where this Eegee's is located there are quite a few restaurants within a block or two. I easily found another restaurant that was quite happy to help me. It's too bad that the staff at this location feels it's okay to lose business because they didn't want to...
