Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in Gilbert

Ok seriously I'm addicted to this place and it's a problem. My favorite things are banana Gelati with swirl ice cream and the cotton candy and blueberry Gelati with vanilla ice cream. I have so many quart containers in my cabinet my partner hates it! Haha. So there's a tea place in Texas where they sell tubs of tea and if you bring back your tub to get refilled they give you a discount and charge you a refill. I think your company needs to take up something like this. It's so very wasteful for the people that dump these containers. They are not flimsy at all, highly reusable, but that going into the planet is so bad. This place is busy all the time and I assume most people are getting the cup containers not this Jeremiah's addict quart- size ha. Either way please come up with a recycle program for refilling them. I really wanted to give a 4 star for that but because I'm addicted I'll give 5. Also please train the teens you hire to act a little more professional not just chatting up a storm while people are waiting. There was also a tall almost or possibly fully bald male that I'd always see but the first time I saw him he made me never want to come back from his attitude. He was SOOO angry that people were still showing up at 9:25 when they closed at 10. I found that ridiculous for so many reasons that aren't even worth explaining. However, it's as if someone put in a complaint before the next time I came in, that, or he was having a rough night that night because every time since that he's been very nice and polite and patient. For future though, don't be upset that people show up even 10 minutes before closing when it is the smallest job to make an ice cream dessert. Yes you have a closing time but in the food industry it's part of the job. Not only that but if your manager is scheduling you to be off at 10 (closing) and you have cleaning to do after then take that up with your manager not paying customers. In any job separate your home life from work life. So tall slim nearly bald male, this is to you, aside of that night you were being a grinch with people showing up close to closing you've been super awesome and actually made me feel better after each time I came. I hope it was only a bad night (not too bad) and not how you normally are because I almost didn't want to come back but it's so hard...

My sister and I stopped in this afternoon and were so happy to find excellent ice cream, impeccable service and an immaculate store. It was great to find - for the first time in many years- soft serve frozen custard that comes really close to our beloved Carvel in New York. We're kind of hard to please in this category and Jeremiah's did not disappoint. The gentleman who helped us was pleasant, helpful and patient. The only downside to our visit was a man who walked in a few minutes after we were served and seated. He was immediately and very politely informed by the man behind the counter that he needed to move his large pickup truck from the active driveway that he was fully blocking. This man was beyond condescending and rude to a person who was doing his job, and doing it well. He kept insisting that his order for a coconut ice be filled. He was informed each time that his order would be filled once he moved his vehicle, even when the employee explained, several times, that his vehicle could not remain in the driveway because it was the only way for drive through banking patrons to exit. This guy just wasn't getting it and was being a total jerk. Andy, the employee, never lost his cool, and did not alter his demeanor of professionalism. I honestly don't know how he managed to continue speaking to the man without losing it and sinking to the guy's level.

Just wanted to weigh in on what was POSITIVE about this situation because people are very quick to post bad reviews but not always so fast to commend someone who did everything right. So, thank you, Andy. You are truly a gentleman. See you...

🗣 THIS PLACE IS COMPLETELY RACIST!!!! I stood in the window for 7 minutes in the meantime 3 cars of people arrived to the place as well. There was a girl and guy taking orders. The girl was closer to the window and kept looking at me multiple times and never one time in between orders did she tell me to hold on nor did she acknowledge me. Everyone who came in after me was service first before I was. The male looked at me in the window and instead of servicing me he went to the back to do other things. I tapped on the window and asked the female was I ever going to get serviced. She kept trying to tell me that she couldn’t service me through the window whenever I come here I always get serviced through the window. The girl went to the back to get the guy and I asked why is it that everyone else of fair skin gets serviced before I did and he responds saying they didn’t see me there. I again to explain how long I have been standing there and he shrugs. So I left because I couldn’t believe the lack of care he had. The guy done this before where he came outside and wiped down the tables before acknowledging me and my fiancé at the window and I know he seen us there prior to coming outside to clean tables. I was coming here often because I drive pass here leaving work but I will never return nor giving my money somewhere where...
