Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Gilbert

I’m not one to write reviews, however I feel the need to make it known that my experience here last night was one of the worst I’ve had. My fiancé and I went here last night after a long hard day and just wanted to get some food and go home. We walked in and NO ONE said hello. We looked at the menu and still NO acknowledgement we were there. We stood watching and waiting to make our order and STILL NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT!! We waited a good few minutes and after a while of NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE out of the 4/5 that were there saying so much as a “hello” or “we will be right with you” we left. They looked RIGHT AT US and NEVER SAID A WORD! I run 2 businesses and I would never allow my employees to treat customers so rudely!! Train your employees better or have at minimum a conversation telling them that despite being busy you still need to manage a hello to incoming patrons. No one was there but us. We went on the night of January 8th, and both my husband and I's sandwiches were completely and utterly incorrect. My husband ordered the Italian, with NO provolone. The guy repeated it back to him, included the NO provolone, and proceeded to put provolone within maybe a minute of talking to us. Then, I ordered a classic cheesesteak with mushrooms. When we opened the sandwich, not only were there no mushrooms, there was mustard. Mustard. When we came back in, he asked which one was incorrect, and we told him both. He went to remake our sandwiches and used the wrong bread. We had to stop him and make him give us a refund. Overall, a truly deplorable experience. It took over 30 minutes to get 3 cold cut subs. There was no one else there besides my mom and myself so it’s not that it was busy. I understand that one of them took a little longer as it’s a gluten allergy and they clean (which I really really appreciate for my child) but I’ve been to other locations and it’s never like this. The worker seemed to have a bit of an attitude when my order really wasn’t complicated or anything crazy. He clearly hates his job. One was plain meat and cheese. One meat and cheese with a little Mayo. The other meat and cheese with Mayo lettuce and honey mustard. I won’t be coming back to this location which is a real bummer since it’s so close to home.
