5 stars for being vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free. But sadly, the rest didn’t live up. Very pretty, photogenic food, but we were super bummed with the rest.
My açaí bowl was large and beautiful, but had chunks of ice in it and tasted watered down. The crunchy wafers were very hard, and i just couldn’t figure out how to approach eating it. Had to eat the toppings separately and still a bunch landed in my lap. Based on the flavor and texture, I’m guessing the protein powder I ordered didn’t get added. All in all, $18.50 for this was not worth it.
The spring roll was 90% lettuce. Very watery dressing, so hard to use as a dip. Hard rice paper, probably from sitting in the cooler a while.
Unable to get the Moroccan Salad since most everything is premade and available in the cooler, so can’t be modified.
The tuna sandwich was beautiful but incredibly messy and hard to eat with very thin bread that didn’t hold together. Also mostly lettuce. So not filling. Didn’t have zucchini, and asked for extra “tuna” instead but doesn’t look like that happened.
Avocado toast was pretty and piled with avo. Again very thin bread made it hard to eat. But this was probably the one item that was more substantial (no lettuce or ice fillers.) That said, it still wasn’t a meal, so at $16 was a bit lacking.
I also found it weird that ingredients weren’t listed on things. None of the packaged foods, or on baked goods in the display case. Chose not to get any since asking questions for every item felt like a lot.
Tiny indoor space with limited seating. No outdoor seats.
Sadly, I won’t be back. Not worth the value:cost:flavor ratios. But, I won’t ever give less than 5 stars to a vegan place, in support of offering plant based foods! However, I think non-vegans would be very disappointed here and would...
Read moreThis review is uniquely on my most recent experience. I've discovered this place recently (2+ months) and have been a huge fan! The store closes at 4pm. A week ago, I called in over phone around 3:46pm for 2 smoothies (Bowls) and the lady who picked up agreed to take my order as long as I can make it before they close. Based on my ETA, I knew I couldn't so I let her know and therefore they couldn't do it. Fair. I made it to the store a week later right around 3:49pm for 2 smoothies (bowls). The young lady with the tattoos saw me the whole time and never acknowledged me as she was finishing smoothies for other customers, I noticed it was off. (FYI, I heard and saw her mentioning to other customers sitting in the store, "I'd need to pack up your food in a bag because we're about to close".) 3 minutes later, my order was about to be taken by her coworker, but the lady with the tattoos intercepted to say they couldn't do 2 smoothies, they're about to close, then I asked what about 1? She said the manager needs them out by 4pm. If you can't provide certain food nearing closing hours, then it needs to be specified. But based on the previous phone call I made, it clearly sounds like she could've made those smoothies, but refused to do so. This was poorly handled she had no intention of going above and beyond. For context: I spent over a $1,000 in 12 visits for 2 months (Including small groups/catering orders - I text all my receipts to my phone). That's roughly $500+/month. I hope the insistence of not providing me a service thinking 2 smoothie bowls were too much to be done in 10 minutes and perhaps, over...
Read moreI went in with the intention of just getting the Moroccan salad but ended up impulse buying a Solstice juice, a Thai Peanut Salad and a Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bar. So buyer beware- if you’re on a budget don’t shop hungry because it all looks irresistibly delicious.
I snacked on the peanut butter oatmeal bar in the car and had to stop myself from spoiling my lunch. It was difficult to resist but I managed to save half of it for later. I typically don’t care for vegan baked goods because the texture is almost never right. Linden got it right. It was amazing. It had the peanut butter chocolate flavor of a Reese cup but with the texture of a regular brownie. My only regret is that I only bought one.
Years ago I used to make fresh juice at home so when I opened the solstice juice just from the smell alone I knew that it was going to be good. It did not disappoint! Fresh crisp taste, no oxidation. Perfect.
The Thai Peanut Salad was everything I wanted. Fresh greens, great flavor, fresh veggies, and the perfect amount of mint and cilantro. The peanut sauce was thick and creamy, perfectly flavorful. I would definitely get this again!
I’ll dig into the Moroccan salad for lunch tomorrow but so far they’re 3 for 3.
The price for all of that was exactly what I expected. Yes, it’s pricier than the fast casual chains but it’s a tiny local shop using high quality ingredients (and I got a few meals out of the entire purchase).
I was looking for a healthy spot for an occasional high quality treat and Linden Organic fit the...
