Short version: the food was okay, the service so-so, but it's not a place that we would make the drive to again (not from Laveen -- and yes, we will drive a long distance for great food!) Longer version: It's not a very large restaurant, and with the other shops around them, parking may be a bit tricky. We popped in Saturday for an early dinner. We were seated right away, and the young guy took our drink orders & delivered them quickly. The first thing to slightly irritate me was the glass was so full of the darn ice I couldn't get a good swallow of the guava juice. Maybe it was shape of the ice, but I finally had to ask for an extra glass so I could scoop out all the ice and actually take a drink! We ordered the hummus appetizer, which came out with hot pita, but both the hummus and pita had a "store bought" atmosphere to it. The pita was the pocket type, so for me it was a bit thin and dry (I like my pita thick & fluffy). The hummus was creamy, but compared with other Mediterranean places we have frequented, their hummus tasted slightly bland. The presentation was nice though. The second thing to slightly put me off revisiting Phoenicia was when the meal came out. Don't get me wrong, the meat was very flavorful, but it's irritating when EVERYTHING is piled onto one semi-small plate so when you start digging into your food, the food starts falling off the edges. It felt as if, once the food was delivered, we were forgotten. My sister did ask for another glass of water, but it was never delivered. I will say I saw only two servers, so maybe it was a short-staffed issue, but as many times as our guy walked past our table, you would have thought there would have been an "oh yeah, she asked for water" moment. You pay up at the counter. The final thing to set me off was when our guy was ringing us up, then took a phone call, and stayed on the phone, leaving us hanging, waiting to finish our transaction. Again, maybe it's a staffing issue, but hey, finish with the customer that is in front of you, PAYING, before moving on to the person on the phone.

Here is the menu! Sorry, I was hungry so I forgot to take pictures of the actual food. 😂 I got the Ultimate Combo under Entrees. It was delicious! A good plate to share as well as being able to try a little bit of everything they have to offer. The combo feeds two, easily. Also ordered Greek Fries as an additional side, AMAZING! I would come back for the Greek Fries alone! Pistachio Baklava was a good choice for dessert as well. I was going to get Cool Baklava but I think that would have been an overkill with all the food I’ve already gotten. The place itself is nice, clean and open. Parking was plentiful within the plaza they are in. Service was great! The two males staff did a good job hosting and serving. They were attentive and did come back to check if we wanted anything else every once in awhile after we finished eating to make sure we were good on water and such. I didn’t feel rush but I think it is also a nice idea that they have customers coming up to the register to pay. It was nicer than giving us a check as a mean that we should leave because I definitely know my friend and I wouldn’t have stayed for 2 hours being able to talk and catch up if they did that. Definitely will come back because I want to try the Greek Fries with meat next time!

Phoenicia has been one of my fave restaurants for 10 years now . I am always craving the wonderful food there. Everything there is delicious and mouthwatering. New scrumptious items have been added to menu like the yummy Hummuskingburger. All of the different flavors come together in this flavorful burger. Pair that with the flavorful Greek French fries and you got yourself a yummy meal. I always have to order a small hummus and the dolmades for my appetizers. I wish the owner Fouad would sell their hummus in stores bc it is honestly the best hummus around. I would eat Phoenicia everyday if I could bc it is healthy and fresh. The food is so amazing, but equal to that is the service. Ryan and Nick are the kindest guys who will guide you with what to order and explain the ingredients to you. They always have a smile on their faces. The owners Fouad and Sylvia are the sweetest people around. Sylvia always greets me with a hug. ♥️You definitely feel like you are stepping into their home for a delicious home cooked meal when you eat there. No other Mediterranean restaurant in town measures up to Phoenicia. Believe me, I have tried a lot of them. Go try Phoenicia!

This place is a just okay. Obviously some people like it based on the reviews, but I won't go back. I had a gyro plate. The meat was pretty good, not the best and not the worst I've had. The rice was very bland, disappointing. The hummus was even more disappointing...had a strange taste. The pita was what you would expect from the grocery store. And the tzaziki sauce was a joke, it looked like just plain yogurt, no cucumber or herbs in it. Do yourself a favor and go to Green Corner instead. Their prices are less and the food quality is higher. I paid $3 more for this entree than it costs at Green corner, and it only came with two sides instead of three. Green corner's hummus is amazing. The tzaziki sauce is the real deal. The rice is seasoned. The meat is superior. Their pita bread is Fluffy and warm and soft. I will say that my teenagers loved Phoenician's Greek fries!
