I thought there was a separate section about parking, so I had to add this to what I already posted. Our little group of six or seven have been to Sal's a few times and we've never had a poor experience. This night, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit, mostly due to the dedicated service from Madeline (spelling?). She communicates extremely well amid the roaring crowd, getting our questions handled easily. My Dr. Pepper never reached the point of pulling air in the straw. My friend across the table had draught beer and received replacements timed perfectly. From the great job she did, we could easily believe we were her only table, but common sense tells us otherwise. She's THAT good. Now for the food. I was happy to have veal parmigiana available in a time when liberalism has suppressed marketing that meat. It was delicious, but I had a problem eating it. The portions of meat and angel hair spaghetti were huge on top of already partaking mozzarella sticks and a few garlic knots. I managed to finish off one of the two pieces of veal and a few forkfuls of pasta before I absolutely was stuffed. My to go pan is going to provide at least two more meals in the following week. Flavor wise, I chose wisely and I think if I had made a poor choice, Madeline would have steered me to a better decision. We had some dessert go home with a couple people, but it was far out of the question for me. Maybe next trip will be a dessert only visit for me. I wonder if the huge entree portions suppress...
Read moreLet me start by saying—this was hands down the best pizza I’ve had in my entire life.
We were a party of two and arrived on a Thursday night. The wait was about an hour, and we almost didn’t stay because we were starving after a long day. But we decided to stick it out—and thank God we did.
Once we were seated, we were greeted right away and ordered the fried ravioli as an appetizer. It came out quickly and was absolutely incredible. You could tell it was handmade—nothing like the frozen, deep-fried versions you typically get elsewhere. These had flavor, texture, and love.
For our main course, we ordered the Baked Ziti Pizza and the Tricolore. About 30 minutes after ordering, our server came over to apologize and explained that the kitchen printer had been off, so our order was just getting started. He was super transparent and kind—something we really appreciated, especially having worked in the restaurant industry ourselves. He let us know it would be about 10–12 more minutes and offered to bring us complimentary cannoli’s at the end of our meal.
Now, back to that pizza… It was phenomenal. Truly worth every second of the wait. I don’t even have the words to describe how good it was.
Then came the chocolate-dipped cannoli. I’m not usually a big cannoli person, but these were the best I’ve ever had. Next time I come here, I’m ordering them again without a doubt.
This place blew me away—I cannot...
Read moreLoud, unorganized, terrible service, had the food a few years ago and it was good I think, but I don't know how it was this time as we left without ordering.
Our story: Tried to go here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch with my family of 5. There is no signage, but I think you are expected to order at the counter. All 3 menu TVs had pictures of the food but no pricing. When we walked in the lady at the front very rudely asked if we were "picking up or eating here", to which I replied "eating here". She replied again with "let me know when you are ready to order". Then asked the same question to 3 others that were picking up. She helped 3 others with takeout orders. We stood around for a few minutes trying to figure out what to eat, and finally found a stack of paper menus in a box near the desserts. I opened and tried to find pricing for slices and was gonna ask for help but the one lady at the front disappeared. We had no idea whether we should sit at a table, wait to be sat, or even our options for where to eat said food we had yet to order. It was very loud from the terrible music playing like it was a bar. My kids started asking when we were gonna get help to which I replied, "sorry guys. I don't know". Waited about 2 more minutes before we ended up leaving empty handed and empty stomachs. It seems the only way to get food here is to order ahead and pickup, which we were unaware of, but probably won't...
