update Shortly after this experience the customer service team reached out and gave us a credit to go back and try again.

I’ve been to Salt & Straw locations all over the country and LOVE both the experience and flavor options. I was excited to take my family to celebrate my mom’s birthday (they had never been). We were the only ones in the shop which was a surprise because there is typically a line out the door. My mom asked questions about the flavors and the guy helping us seemed annoyed. My dad ordered a double scoop in a bowl and was surprised when the scoops were stacked on top of each other in a small bowl and asked for another bowl to make it easier to eat and again the man helping us was visibly annoyed. There were a total of 5 of us in our group and I felt incredibly rushed with little to no care about customer service. I was so disappointed when we left and almost embarrassed for suggesting we go there to celebrate my mom’s birthday.

Every other location I’ve been to is excited to share samples of the different flavors, offer suggestions, and answer questions! I’ve often referred to Salt & Straw as the Disneyland of ice cream because of the high customer service standards.

My hope is this was a one off experience and the guy helping us was having a bad day. I hope to come back and experience the Salt & Straw customer service...

So i was fortunate enough to be invited to the soft opening of Salt & Straw in G-Town (Gilbert). The line was long and the sun was warm but the line moved quickly. Employees walked the line and answered questions and offered samples. They even brought water to guests which was appreciated. All the employees were friendly and helpful and knew the meaning of hospitality. The flavours were definitely beyond the paradigm. I was going to try something i thought would be really good or really bad: pear and bleu cheese. I got it in a cup with a waffle cone inverted (my favourite way). I tasted it and it was great. I thought it may be due to the heat and i just liked the cold ice cream so i tried it again. And there it was. Sweet delicate fruity pear flavours suddenly mixed with the boldness of the bleu cheese. I loved it. It might be my new favourite flavour. The waffle cone was generous crunchy and light all at the same time. It was better than the memories as a kid with a cone leaking melted ice cream down my arm lol. I recommend everyone try Salt & Straw and be bold with your flavour choice! I wish the crew, management, and owners the best of success. Salt & Straw deserves it....

FINALLYYYYY!!! IT'S HERE!!! As a huge foodie and chef, Salt and Straw always has my heart. It's unique flavor combination has opened my eyes big time. I absolutely love their honey lavender. Their service was amazing! I went to their grand opening and saw a huge line at 10:30am (store opens at 11am). Felt bit discouraged at first but the employees started to hand out cute sun caps. They also served free coffee and lemonade (collaborated with Peixoto coffee) for people waiting in line ensuring us that as soon as they open, the line will move fast. Boy they were true! Despite the long line, I was able to walk out with my ice cream at 11:15am. They started to serve people right at 11am serving over 100 people in 15 mins. (I was like number 115) Super delicious ice cream, super efficient serving system and super friendly employees♡ No reason not to...

My love and appreciation for Salt & Straw is un-cone-ditional. If you're craving thoughtfully crafted, delicious ice cream, Salt & Straw is the place to go. I first discovered them in San Diego, so they'll always hold a special place in my heart. While they may not always be the most out-there with their flavors, what they do offer is consistently well-balanced creations. Whether they include blue cheese, goat cheese, or olive oil, nothing ever feels overwhelming or gimmicky. Most recently, I tried the huckleberry cornbread pudding. It was tart, tangy, and the perfect treat to wrap up a warm summer day. Salt & Straw is a beloved favorite for a reason, and their spot in the Epicenter is a welcome addition.
