I was put to the task to go pick up coffee for my 10 coworkers as well as myself. I knew going in that it would be an inconvenience for them to make such a big order but I did what I could to make sure it was an easy process for them, like having everyone’s orders with special substitutions written out. Because there were so many ordered that required special substitutions , it was easier to go in person than use the app. When I first arrived with my list, the lady at the counter seemed flustered, so another employee took over. The woman taking my order was very friendly and helpful in helping me substitute a drink for someone that was similar to the one she requested. However, the customer service after that was left to be desired. I was asked by the employee making the drinks to give her some time (she asked in an exasperated voice) and I had told her I was not in a rush. After all my drinks were made, they had two drink trays plus two extra drinks aside and they didn’t offer to give me a bag to put them in so I could carry them out. I tried getting the attention of the employee but she had moved on to the next drinks and also made an announcement to the entire store that she was sorry for the customers having to wait so long (while I was standing there) and she appreciated their patience. I was lucky enough to have a kind customer standing next to me who offered to help me take all of the drinks to my car since I was unable to get assistance from the employees. Overall, wasn’t the best experience and I felt like a nuisance for holding them up. But they made the drinks correctly and I was...
Read moreI shamefully contribute to this massive corporation frequently. There are moments in the drive thru where I feel like I am a glimpse of urban art of Americana, riddled with first world troubles, and feigning for an expensive coffee.
Justifying this experience I think of all the convenient stores that are out of product, have machines and equipment with 1” layers of dust and debris, and clerks who don’t look up from their cell phones to acknowledge my existence. During these thoughts I believe I am justified to go to Starbucks, where it seems the product has been kept in stock throughout the supply madness, and the customer service elevates through time.
This particular Starbucks (Gilbert and Guadalupe) surpasses all the rest in the Valley. Sebastian is a gem and the future of what will be good in our unforeseen future. In fact, their ENTIRE team is courteous, professional, busy and all of which have good memory.
It is either my squeaky truck, or the video camera that alerts them of my presence, but each time my order is remembered and when there is a new teammate, the drink is consistent every time. Not the case in all Starbucks, but this location is awesome, and it is open until 9pm, I think…
I feel remiss not to mention the other team members, and I will do so later when I make more effort to call people by their names.
Sebastian, thank you for being a breath of fresh air and the embodiment of hopefulness in...
Read moreI'm sorry I didn't get the name of the wonderful, friendly, considerate, accommodating, and understanding individual working the drive-thru on Sunday, January 15th, 2023 at 8:01:44pm. I'm a bit new to starbucks and wanted to try something new. Instead of being intimidated by the choices, and as an anxious Annie already, it was so lovely that this kind gentle soul was able to walk me through different choices and suggestions and do it efficiently and, most likely very patiently (lol). As someone that can get nervous and indecisive, the laid back, comfortable, welcoming vibes I felt even through a speaker, it meant more than my words can accurately convey.
Just really thank you for putting me at ease in an everyday situation that can be challenging at times for some of us.
And the honey almond flat white was a fanstastic upgrade from my usual vanilla latte. Thank you again for your gracious hospitality, especially when nearing...
