Was excited to try this place out. However, the two times I tried to eat here were riddled with issues (trying to give them a second chance).

First experience: I dined in and want to warn people of the water being used. It is so chlorinated and chemically it legitimately tastes like you're drinking pool water. It's absolutely terrible. They also had their young child (probably 6 years of age or so) running around in the kitchen and back area while preparing our food. He was asking everyone to try his lollipop he was licking on. It was weird and gave me a vibe that this place doesn't take sanitation very seriously.

Second experience: I called in a to-go order. The lady taking the order was rude, hurried, and speaking to me and another customer that was in the store at the time. She was talking so fast her English and primary language were becoming so blended it was difficult to understand her. I placed my order, repeating it roughly three or four times just to ensure it was correct. She never asked for my name, number, or any identifying information. This too was strange.

When we arrived our order was all jacked up. The lady working there (short black hair) was extremely rude and tried to blame us for the error. She kept repeating that she confirmed the order two times. And huffed and puffed when we explained that she got our order wrong. They remade our food but they had numerous crickets hopping about in their restaurant, the same kid that was running around the kitchen previously was there again playing in the kitchen, and I noticed how unclean the restaurant was.

Needless to say, the food made me sick and I highly recommend avoiding this place.

TLDR: Water tastes like pool water, bugs hopping around, rude employees, disrespectful service, low quality food....

I was searching for some vegan take-out after me and my son were batting at the Home run stadium, this was 10 minutes away. Upon arrival for pickup I was told at the door to go ✋️ wait at the phó side of the restaurant, I guess the vegan lotus and phó Vietnamese restaurant share the same space in the plaza,no worries, but goggle maps says it's open till 11:30 weird, but whatever.I paid at the counter and pickup was ready a few minutes later .My 10 year old said it smelled wield and was asking why there was fish in the tanks at a vegan restaurant? All I ordered was pineapple fried rice for my son,I was disappointed at the serving size for a total of $17.31 ! Yes it tasted good and decent mid at best. Chunks of tofu and pineapple think I saw a gnat fly out of the container when I got back to Phoenix ! Very unlikely I will return after this experience, didn't get my money's worth of food and place seemed a bit unkept. So hard to find good vegan/vegetarian food for people that...

The food was FAB.U.LOUS. A bit pricey but worth every penny. Bought 4 different dishes and they were all expertly made and prepared. Even the presentation of the food was great. And all vegetarian or vegan! Even my Thai Tea was divine and esthetically marvelous!

Now the cons.

Greesy table.

AC was only turned on after we got there. It was very warm at stuffy at first. Almost didn't stay to eat but then it cleared up and cooled off.

Drinks were very expensive. 2.50 for a regular can of sprite. Etc.

The husband took our order and the wife cooked. That was fine. But he was rude and standoffish. It was evident that much of that was a cultural thing. But still. It was off putting to my guests. I was fine, personally. I'm from NY lol. And his English was difficult to work with.

The food was just so good that I can't go lower than 4 stars despite the rest. Don't...

We ate here for the first time tonight, and will definitely be back! It definitely has a laid back vibe which is just what you want sometimes. Everything was beautifully prepared and amazingly delicious. We started with tempura tofu with a sweet chili dipping sauce, which was fantastic, although it was more panko-breaded than battered as you'd expect with tempura, but I frankly preferred it; the texture was perfect against the silken tofu. For our mains we tried the vermicelli "beef" bowl, basil spice noodles with "chicken", stir fried eggplant, and yellow curry, all of which were amazing. Four of our group are confirmed carnivores and enjoyed their entrees immensely, while the vegetarians in our group loved having an entire menu to choose from. Our only regret is not having come in sooner =)
