I feel bad because I want support and cheer for a completely gluten free bakery but I just don't get it! I tried the "rookie" and it just didn't hit the spot. The cookie surrounding the roll was chocolate; the taste was fine (not great, but okay) however it was very dry and powdery. I cut it in half to warm half and keep the other half room temp to compare and once I did that it crumbled apart very easily. Warming it also didn't really do much. The roll part of the cookie definitely tasted better than the cookie; I got cinnamon roll from it, which I was surprised by because there is such a small bit overall. I did not like the combo of the cinnamon roll with the chocolate cookie as I felt the flavors conflicted. I will reserve full judgement on the cinnamon roll since I didn't try one on its own, but in the cookie it was comparable to other gluten free cinnamon rolls I had tried before, not bad but you can definitely tell it is gluten free (a little dense/gummy). The vibe was simple and clean. I get not having seating based on the types of pastries they sell, but something about not having seating I think led it to feel a little less welcoming than other bakeries I have been to. Customer service was fine, I had no issues and they were happy to answer questions. Obviousle based on other reviews some people clearly love it, but personally I feel like the unique product they have centered their business around doesn't really work and in general I have had better gluten free sweets from other places in the area. Also for what you get, it is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been seeing this place all over my social media and really wanted to try some as Iām GF but wanted to wait until it was a little past after the grand opening and went today on Sunday about noon! There really wasnāt a line which was great, but it was a little bit confusing to figure out what to order because there was no menu and only a few things were listed with a little sign and I kept asking the tall brown haired guy with glasses what everything was and it seemed like he was annoyed, but how am I supposed to know if there is no menu or signs. I ended up getting a double chocolate cookie, which was about an 8 out of 10, and the pistachio rookie which is a cinnamon roll inside a cookie I guess and it was a little undercooked and I thought for some reason the pistachio was gonna be creamy and it was hardened. It was a 7.5 out of 10. I told the girl who checked me out I had been seeing them all over their social media and have been wanting to come in and she said āoh wow you must be seeing my face everywhereā which I thought was kind of a weird comment instead of saying something like āoh wow, thank you so much for coming inā ā¦.I donāt know I didnāt really feel like the people that worked there (owners or what not) were very welcoming, but they were probably stressed out from everything thatās been happening because I guess they didnāt plan on it being so crazy? Idk I would come back here again, but I wouldnāt go...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a celiac I REALLY wanted to give this place the recognition it deserves but when I went in they sadly fell short to what I was expecting. First the staff werenāt very inviting, which is fine but would prefer a warm smile. We got the cheesecake, an Oreo cupcake, and a red velvet cookie. It was pretty pricy for the size of everything compared to other GF bakeries Iāve been to. The cheesecake was SO good but made both mine and my friends stomach hurt sadly. I had really high hopes for the Oreo cupcake but it was simply not good. The frosting was really good, and I donāt even like frosting, but the cake part itself was very dry and had little flavor. Iāve made GF cake from cake boxes that have had more flavor. The red velvet cookie did not taste very well and was dry but after heating it up with a damp paper towel it tasted better. I was really excited to find a new GF place but I do not think itās worth it...
