Camino Coffee — Restaurant in Gilroy

I was really hoping this would be a 5 star place, and it still could be with some changes, but at the moment I’d give it 3 stars. On the plus side, the atmosphere is fantastic. They’ve obviously put a lot of thought into making an vibey interior, and it shows. The other plus is the staff- they’re friendly and professional. On the negative side, the coffee isn’t to my liking. This could be a preference thing on my part. I could see how some people might think it’s good. I just don’t really like the aftertaste. Also, I ordered a Matcha latte and it was served lukewarm and didn’t seem to have much Matcha in it. Lastly, the Wi-Fi is so slow that you literally can’t work here if you need connectivity. I ran a speed test and it was barely there. My hope was that this could be a good place to get some work done have a good cup of coffee. Like I said, the atmosphere and staff are promising and with some minor changes, the rest could be improved as well. I’m happy to update my review in the future if...

I came here the other day after wanting to try it for a while. To start off the parking is not great considering how many people were there, the only available option was the handicap parking spot. Nevertheless, I had walked in expecting good customer service but it was such an odd experience, customer service and friendliness is definitely not there. I ordered a matcha with strawberry soft top. My drink did not come with the strawberry soft top, instead it came with a watery white cream on top that I wouldn’t consider a soft top/cold foam as they had it pictured. The matcha flavor was not really there, I’d say the only thing I truly enjoyed was the smoothness of the almond milk, but that’s really it…..the drink was also very small -probably a 12oz-16oz for nearly $8.

Overall I was hoping that I would like this place but it was definitely a flop for me. There’s many things they need to improve on but customer service should never be one a business should...

My husband and I have high requirements for coffee so when we came into town for a wedding, my parents took us here knowing we dislike every other coffee shop in town. The vibe is awesome. Staff was great. Coffee was smooth and they know how to pull a shot and blend the milk for a perfect balance. The only think I would suggest is that the lattes were very sweet, just a bit to much.and to dial it back as the sweetness was near taking away from the espresso flavor . I ordered mine lightly sweet, which was perfect balance on flavor and espresso . My husband and my mom's was normal and was very sweet, to much to his liking but my husband still enjoyed the smoothness of the espresso itself. Bummed they weren't open on Sunday to grab some on the way home but at least we know they are there and don't have to drive to Vertigo anymore when we visit for...
