Poki Bowl — Restaurant in Gilroy

This place gets an overall 5 stars from me all around. I was visiting Gilroy this weekend from Fresno and decided to stop here for lunch before heading back home and let me just say that this place did not disappoint. The minute you arrive, you are greeted by the staff and they carry that kindness all throughout. I wish I would have thought to ask for the name of the kind lady and gentleman who both helped me while I was there as they both deserve personal recongnition. In addition to my positive experience with the staff, the food itself was amazing! Their portions are decent and they do not skimp out on any of the ingredients. Despite the limited amount of toppings and sauces, it still felt like more than enough with regards to quantity and taste! I have tried a few Poki places in Fresno and they do not measure to this place. My bowl was so flavorful and the best bowl I have ever had. The restrooms and the restroom were also very clean, which is an always a plus for me. I highly recommend that you give this place a try if you are ever in the area. I would make the two hour drive again just to get my hands on another bowl! I was excited to finally have a poke restaurant in Gilroy. The location was nice and clean but the service could be better. They also had a nice selection of Hawaiian Sun products - which is great. I asked for seaweed salad (yes, it’s $1.50 extra, and I got the the smallest most stingiest scoop ever). I also asked for furikake and the associate looked at me and questioned “what’s that?”. Unfortunately I will not be returning. We came to try the new location closer to us. One of the bowls was for a child I ordered white rice and crab meat. Normally at other locations I am charged for the rice and crab meat separately. However, this time I was charged the full price for a regular bowl. Paying $16 for just rice seems outrageous.
